Heading up to the Queets tommorrow. Can anyone tell me if it's blown out? I will submit a report either way. Just want to know if I am just going to be having a nice drive...thanks in advance...

Given the other rivers to the north of it are still pretty high and somewhat dirty and it's raining right now ... I'd say most likely not in.

Looks like the Quinault fisherman are going to have a rough go this year when their creek fisheries dry up ... looked terrible when we came back from Seaside on Monday, imagine the lake is full of muck and will take some time to clear up.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

I think you're right, Rich.

The way that lake looked when I went by last week, the Quinault is gonna be gone for quite some time.

Goinfishin',

Sorry to be untimely. Queets was out Tuesday through Thursday, and is even more out today. I don't think it's been fishable since before the October flood. Lake Quinault is still dirty, but improving. Upper Q apparently has a slide somewhere and doesn't drop in to its usual "air clear" condition according to the local I spoke with yesterday.

Looks like another weekend for chores. I got handles and reelseats on 3 rod blanks last weekend. Probably wrap guides and work on anchor bracket for new boat this weekend. Hope it stops raining long enough to put it in the water and fish with it some day.

Sincerely,

Salmo g.

Thanks for all the help!! I didn't go due to a power outage. Didn't think the wife would like to wake up at 0dark30 to that by herself..that can effect the next trip!! Anyhow...fished the Nisqually instead to try an walk a few dogs....River was pretty high and looked like latte....There were a lot of die hards near the trestle by the handicap area.. didn't see any fish on the bank. Watched one guy fight a snag he thought was a fish for twenty minutes...Touched one..didn't hook any...The good news is I saw one roll and it looekd pretty bright...tank crossing was very dead....I don't think they're up that high yet...
