My wifes got me a custom rod for Christmas without consulting me on what type i might like. Well it showed up today and its awsome! Its 10'6 10-20lb. Im just curious who makes the blank??? The blank model is st1265-2. Any ideas?

With the -2 designation, perhaps a Rogue???

Those are loomis numbers for rod blanks

ST1265-2

I checked the loomis website and they dont list the ST1265-2 as a blank but they do list it as a complete rod (STR1265C-2).

A little more information is required about the rod like what color it is. While it is true that the numbering is like that of a loomis there are several other manufactures that use the same numbering system. Rainshadow and all star come to mind off the top of my head.

I fish with Loomis and Rogue rods, and they're top-notch. Just ordered a new TH rod for plugging with a Rainshadow blank, but I can pretty much guarantee that it'll be a sweet rod.

You are right... but, most of the other companies add a few letter to the number... like rainshadow uses IST1265F...

Loomis specifically use ST1265-2

I'm not trying to say this is for sure a Loomis. The only way to really be sure is to ask the guy that built it.
