I have been thinking about making a crab pot puller. I have been trying to search at web for getting information about 12 volt DC 1.3 hp and express 601 motor, where I could buy for making the crab pot puller.. BUt I can't find what brand of electric motor is making from? Where I can buy one / How come cushman & other store won't tell us what brand of dc electric motor ? Someone told me that it is from auto wiper electric motor .. True?
Could you help me to find a brand of electric motor, what can use for crab pot puller ? thanks

I have a used one in great condition that I'll sell you for a great price. It has the motor, davit and pole. All you would need is a switch and a horizontal or vertical mount. Shoot me an email if your interested. I also have some pots for sale.

When I looked at those pullers it seems I found out that the motors are from overseas, probably the only use in the states, so as to have an exclusive market. I always figured a wheelchair motor was what they were. I have had a line on wheelchair motors a couple times, but never managed to get the ones that "a buddy has".
