Westport was great. Hadn't done the charter thing for a few years. Went with several friends on the "Hula Girl" from Westport Charters. The Captain, Steve, is a great guy and really put us on fish. Got us into nice Kings, Silvers and some Sea bass. He was a little worried in the mornign because it had been pretty spotty out there. I think the boat ended up with something like 30 keepers for 25 people. Heading to Seiku/ Neah bay on the 12th where I"M the skipper!!

Where did you fish? Straight out? North? South?

To the best of my limited sense of direction on the open sea...lol....It seemed like we were about 20 miles out and north. I know the skipper told me about 20 miles out. He moved us around alot looking for bait and sea birds on it. That seemed to the key out ther for the bite.....

Oh yeah...obviously the date on the camera is wrong...I estimated the king went about 20 and the silver was in the teens...The biggest king on the boat went around 30 and was probably the derby winner for the day, according to the radio chatter from the wheelhouse..

The basic price is $80.00. Add 5-10.00 for the tip if the bait boy is doing their job, which they really did on this boat!
