I have family in town with their 26' seaswirl striper, and we are planning on chasing those shiny silvers on Saturday and Monday. I have hear Edmonds is hot right now, but would appreciate any advice on making this a memorable trip for them. They also would like to crab, but with the closure, it's looking like area 7 East is our only bet. I am in Monroe, so launching from Mukilteo up to Anacortes is an option.

Thanks in advance for any great advice!

Sean

Go to Sekiu to catch fish every few minutes. Go to Everett this time of year (or all year for that matter) to catch 0-4 fish.

I'd go to Sekiu. It's a nobrainer fishery. Flasher/dodger with hootchie/spoon/herring at 25-60' and you will catch fish all day.

Monroe to Sekiu is a helluva haul one way or another -- 100 miles by water, $150 by ferry + 250 miles driving, or 450 miles driving going around the south end of the Sound towing a 26' boat.
