Remember Charles Royer the former Mayor of Seattle? When I was in college I was a bartender at the Coug. Chuck comes in one night for a few. He was in town for some conf. or speach. He chases a few sorority girls around until closing time. My friends and I hit it off with him and gave him free beer. We then take him back to our place for some after hours drinking. He ends up passed out on my floor with a stack of playboys and an empty bottle of tequila. I have a pic somewhere bbut what happens in Pullman stays in Pullman. Well for at least the first 25 years :p

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Yeah, but that's because they don't have phones or electricity in Pullman yet, right? ;\)

Dans,

What do you need phones for in a small town when everyone you need to talk to will walk in the bar at some point everyday :p I can honestly say I did not use a phone once every 6 months when I was in school.

AM,

Nice try :p

If you had gone to college at all let alone in a small town you would know you live with most all your friends or they are a few blocks away. Being in a fraternity we had one phone for 65 guys and it was not used much.

4salt,

No problems there working at the Coug gave you Rock star like status :p . That night Chuck did a good job of scaring them off. Most the girls did not believe he was mayor.

AM,

Your type needs lots of affirmation. You cannot get it in the real world so you create an online identity like Aunty M and try to hang with a bunch of men. Lots of psychologigal background on people like you. Real sad stuff mostly.

Sometimes we just don't care what you are tallking about. Do the voices in your head understand what you are saying? Or do they say: Be afraid...be very afraid.....

My good buddy Slabquest was musing one day about you and wondered if you ever went fishing or you got up every day and gnashed your teeth and held your head in your hands agonizing in worry about the state of the world so much that you couldn't leave the house.....

I think he might be right.....

I am going to take a big risk and go fishing again this weekend. I can only cross my fingers that Bush doesn't destroy the whole world while I'm gone and all those chicken hawks find true love. I'm sure you'll stand guard while I'm away.

Now when Slab comes back from a week of fishing he may want to read the definition of your latest slam.....seems to have its roots in the Marine corps.....

Robert L. Chapman, in _Dictionary of American Slang, Third Edition_ (1995), writes that "pogey" comes "perhaps fr[om] the common name of the trash fish menhaden, as suggesting something cheap, common, and to be caught with bait; perhaps fr[om] the Southern pronunciation of _porgy_, another fish of a similar quality" and "pogey bait" is "so called because they could be used in the seduction of boys and young men, _pogue_, into homosexual acts."

Navy, actually. But all snacks taken on deployment these days are still referred to as pogey bait.

Hilarious.

You write that yourself (There's a first time for everything, apparently)? If so, let me be the first to say that trying to make a french word even 'frencher' by adding 'le' is the epitome of stupid.

That joke wouldn't even fly in carrot tops set...I wonder what kind of prop he'd use?

As far as musical obscurity goes smart guy, the lyrics I quoted are from a song that was number one for several weeks in 1981. That you fail to recognize them is the point of even putting them up in the first place. I don't expect you to get it, its only for those that catch the reference. Every one else is supposed to go 'Huh, what?'...looks like it worked.

I'll bet you hate Dennis Miller, too. Always throwing obscure references out there forcing your pea brain to actually work instead of writing another dick joke. I'll bet you think dick jokes are hiolarious.

Doesn't it follow that if someone is dead, they are a has been? You couldn't successfully argue your way out of a moistened Kleenex, no less argue comedy or music with a true fan. Why the F would you even want to bother except for an excuse to call me a douche bag?

In the end you'll only look like even more of an ass, if that's even possible. I have a whole littany of names I've been saving in reserve for you Elvis....They're listed from least to most vulgar. I wonder how far down that list I'd have to get before you tattle taled like a baby?
