I hope you'll think about this the next time you start thinking about that neato tax break Dumbya gave you in April, what was it, $350 bucks?

Gutz, I don't mean to call you out specifically but I know how bad it hurts you to fill up the Broncominium AND the Ballard Hoh at the same pump. What....75 - 80 gallons total?

Nearly two hundred bucks according to my guesstimath, whereas pre-Iraq war you would have paid $100.

How many miles do you put on your vehicle per year fishing? Do the math....the middle class (the majority of us fishermen, right?) are taking it in the rear because of Bouche policy while oil companies see their profits soar. Is this the america you want?

It sure is nice to have that refund check just a little fatter but please ask yourselves in light of the havoc lucicrously high gas prices are playing on the poor and middle class.....is this worth it?

I thought you predicted that Bush would pull a scam with the Saudis to lower gas prices right before the election? What happened? Maybe Bush doesn't have as much influence over gas prices as you would like to blame him for. But we all know your "slant" on things.

Most economic forecasts noted that the Iraq War created instability in the markets in general and led to exogenous shocks to the price of crude. While you could say that long term, this action may be counteract instability, the immediate consequence has been a negative one.

The same group that 9 months ago said it was from oil companies artifically driving up the price? Your enemy wants Bush not to get elected because he has them on the defensive. They want Kerry elected so they can get back to business as usual and you buy into it and say OK lets blame Bush. What a ship of fools. The PNW used to be a great place to live until you tourist showed up.

The Venezuelan strike, Nigerian political turmoil, China industrializing and becoming the 2nd biggest consumer of crude oil and the over-regulated U.S. enviromental laws pertaining to domestically refining crude oil ALL have far more to do with higher prices at the pump than Iraq.

They probably didn't show those factors that contibute to the increased cost of fuel in F/911--not because they're not real, but because the truth doesn't lend itself to the "no blood for oil"-"corporate greed is evil man" mantra.

If anyone is so concerned about the price of oil and our dependene on it--you should lobby for drilling in ANWR while we seek alternatives.

I say Drill, Drill and more Drilling. What's it been 30 years since we added new refineries and oil rigs? Besides this way some of the environmental whackos could get a real job and keep an eye on things. Need someone around to count all the new wildlife that oil rigs tend to attract! Don't believe me......Just fly over the Alaska oil pipeline and look at all of the Carabou hanging out or drop a line off a rig in the Gulf of Mexico. The reality of the situation just doesn't jive with the lies of liberals. Of course that has never stopped them before !

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

What do you think? GW has even managed to phuck up our relations with the Saudis. They live in the Middle East and we've gone about destabliizing the region.

We played the Saudi lapdogs after 9/11 and let all the connected Saudis, including the Bin Laden family, fly home to Saudi Arabia immediately following 9/11 when all other flights were grounded without questioning any of them about Osama's whereabouts even though 15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudis. But then, genious George had to go and invade Iraq and piss off the Saudis, who are perfectly happy to sell their crude to China.

So now, we have an unstable relationship with Saudi Arabia (which maybe we should because of their ties to terrorism) and a destabilized region. Add that to the other factors Rory mentioned, and you see it at the pump.

GW's fault? Not all of it..........but he sure as hell didn't help matters with his ill-conceived invasion of Iraq.

Saudi Arabia was really the origin of the Isalmic fundamentalist terrorists operating around the middle east today because of their adherance to Wahabbi Islam. They were also our oil sweetheart in the middle east. That kinda left us in a spot.

Whoever gets elected is going to have a stinkfest to deal with as far as energy goes in the next few years.
