I had ford tempo...the drivers side door closed with a bungee cord.

The factory clear coat peeled away leaving it looking like the skin of leper.

I hit a deer doing (fast!) and completely annihilated the drivers front quarter....the resulting shimmy at 60 mph caused a few of my girlfriends to express their fondness for the ugly duck.

I fixed that though forever by failing to notice a bucket of sand shrimp had worked its way down to where the spare tire goes in the trunk. Took me about three weeks before I realized it wasn't 'just some left over fish slime' making that stink and by that time it was far far too late.

Every morning, same ritual...start die, start die, start die, chortle................run. Drop into gear then feather, feather, feather.......... die. Start, run, drop into gear and drive. It was that easy.

Tell you what about that car though......that fkr went everywhere.

Eventually the drivers side drive axle broke and i junked it for fifty bucks. When I bought it from my brother it was in pretty decent shape. I think it only lasted another two years before it met its doom.

1990 corvette. It was advertised as a 200MPH car. I could only get it to do 194.

It was a Ford Pinto. I always thought Ralph Nadar went after the wrong car when he went after the Corviar as also owned one of them, it was a fun car to drive, but Pinto was areal POS aand as Auntie said the Falcon was a close second as if you owned one you sure got a "Falcon!"

It's a toss-up between a '71 Vega or a '92 Christler Town & Country. The Vega station wagon got me through high school and college after changing engines twice (bought from junkyards) and we went through 3 transmissions, 2 under warranty, on the Chrystler. It amazes me how that corporation keeps the same crappy design in many of its cars and people keep buying them.

I am not sure of the year but it was horrible my first car but a LTD station wagon. The only good thing about it was it got us back and forth to the grateful dead shows with ten of us in the car that was a voyage having to put water in the radiator like every 200 miles

That's funny Aunty. My first was a '63 Ford Falcon. I loved that car.

I think my pops had the right idea giving me that hunk. I learned about cigar burn hole's, spilled liquor, and how loose gravel can throw your arse into a tree in a hurry, all in about a year.

Memories.

Biggie's Battlewagon......A Plymouth Satelite.

It was awful. The spare tire held up the drivers seat. One time while barreling down a logging road I caught some air and the tire came out, next thing I know I'm laying flat on my back looking at the roof.

Three straight descents from Stevens pass I did a couple of 360's. We got used to it.

No reverse. I always had to plan on how to get out of a parking spot prior to parking.

1993 Eagle Talon TSi. Man was it fast, but it was trouble from the day I got it. Two days after buying it, the timing belt went. Interferance engine. Beat the crap out of the pistons. Had to have the whole engine replaced. Then a year and a half later, it had some kind of electrical problem. I sold it to my dad for half of what I paid for it (which wasn't much) and he managed to get another two years out of it before he traded it in. What a lemon.

Had to be the MGB-GT, work on it for two days, drive it for five, work on it........sold it for $1800, but would have given it away. He totaled the car two weeks later, best thing that could have happened to it, he was OK.
