Here is how we did on Sunday. Water temp 39 degrees. Fish were right on the bottom. The largest was the Bow at 18". Rest were all browns, largest 15", smallest 13".

Very nice pic's. You sir are a true fisherman. I haven't gotten out for months. I am ready to redo my priority list and move fishing to the very top.

Now is a good time to get out. Water is cold and fish are lean and tasty. Get that priority list fixed up and maybe I'll see ya on the water. If you plan on heading to the east side we can meet somewhere or if I get back to the wet side you can show me few places over there.

Hey Hunter. Are the trout in your neck of woods really skinny this time of year? All of those browns we caught were really lean and didnt fight very good. That rainbow put up a snuff for a lttle bit then he decided to pace the boat and his gut region seemed realy loose and empty.

I'm guesing its the cold water and their preparing for the spawn. Egg sacks have doubled in size on the females in three weeks.

No my fish have been fat actually....I fish over on the westside of the lake however....I've only been catching rainbows and they eat a lot of what hatches up from the muddy bottom so all sorts of bugs and flies...I don't flyfish though, I've been doing good on little spoons and spinners and been absolutely slaying them with the sppons actually. Some days I'll catch and release 10 fish in an hour and a half, all between 14 and 18 inches. Fat too....

And they have been fighting good even when the water is cold....

j7, were you using bait or trolling with downriggers?

Just dragging plugs. When the plug started tapping the bottom we would get a strike. Real tuff to find that depth of water where there is fish and the correct depth. I think they were deeper at times but I probably trolled righ over top of them. I wasnt seeing any suspended fish on the graph either.

I am little scared to run downriggers in this lake (wink wink Jay S) I want to try a planner board so I dont have to troll right over top of the fish. I never used one so I'm not sure what to get.

I can get under that bridge but I never tried it. A local guy told me there is a shallow spot around there and to be careful. So I never went back there. I was thinking of bringing my canoe with the electric motror back there and see what happens. Have you done any good back there.

Thanx Jay S. I have seen those sidewinders advertised on the AX fishing show. Think I'll give it a try.
