I hate to say it but shouldn't a person's wallet be safe in their car? Or should we just blame the dude who gets his wallet ripped off?
I don't think it's smart to leave valuables out but certainly feel that if we actually punished criminals maybe this sort of behavior would become less and less.

No, I'm just saying in this day and age, if you don't know about tweakers and other lowlifes that won't hesitate to take something of value from your vehicle, you may not be very bright. Personally (and this may just be me) if I value something (wallet, fishing gear, hunting gear, etc,) it doesn't get left in the truck, maybe I'm just paranoid.

Perfectly rational. It just pisses me off that we have to worry about these low lifes. Puplic caneing these punks in front of their friends might be a bit more of a deterrent rather than a slap on the wrist.
