What would be kinda funny is if the bar owner was as ignorant as the typical 20 year old American kid, and didn't know what he was doing was both inflammatory, and illegal. Some crazy bearded guy with a big ole knife comes along and steals his American flag. I'd be funny if he went inside thinking WTF just happened.

Hey I have a question on proper disposal of an American Flag. I fly a an American Flag outside my house everyday. Its time I upgrade to a newer flag as this one has served its time.

Burn? Bury? I am not just going to throw it in the garbage-seems digraceful.

Personally I have never been able to do it. And therefore have a dresser full in my shop.

Look at the bar owners face closely, right as the camera first pans to him. He doesn't have the furrowed brow, the angry scowl that every political activist has. Does the guy look like Che Guevara? I don't think so. He has the blank expression of someone who has no idea WTF just happened.

It makes the whole thing comical.







Take your worn flags to your local American Legion Hall, they will dispose of them for you.

When we changed out the flag at our Law School, the ROTC at the school got a team from the local AFB to come out and do a proper ceremony and remove the flag...plus, they put up our new one, too.

The proper method of disposal is to put it in an empty coffee can, douse it with lighterfluid, and burn it completely to ash.

That's one bar owner who is less ignorant than before of the law regarding the display of the US flag. A lesson he likely won't forget anytime soon.

I don't buy it, that Mexican new what was going on. He just didn't figure on anyone having the BALL's to do what that Vet did.
