Same outfit burned up my Dad's office here in Olympia.
It was interesting to see that the arsonists knew the zoning code.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Yes, JG. Way to go, f'n Einsteins. Now it's going to take TWICE the materials and TWICE the carbon emissions to build the SAME F"N HOUSE. These f'ers deserve exactly what we deal out to Al Qaeda.

Also interesting that the were so offended by McMansions in an already well developed area when there's so much else going on such as The USFS' logging practices under Bushco. Also it should be pointed out that The ELF hasn't popped up in almost 10 years and that everyone that was involved in their higher-profile acts has been collared.

USFS logging has gone from 100 million board feet to less than 20 million in Washington, so it has decreased dramatically.
The folks from ELF bought carbon impact offsets from Al Gore's company. That's how they got away with it.
The real bonus is that these ELF kids will get extra credit from their prof for participating in "environmental protest".

Too bad you wont get any extra credit because you didn't quote your sources.

Suppossed Greenies burning green homes. I hope the $100,000 reward helps catch the dirt bags.
Some quotes from the Times
"It's sad. It's just a shock. I don't know what to tell you," said Grey Lundberg of CMI Homes, based in Bellevue, as he looked at the smoking remains of an award-winning home built by his company.
Lundberg said he and other developers at the site had striven to build homes that were as environmentally friendly as possible, filled with such features as high-efficiency insulation and recycled materials.
He noted his company recently received an award from the National Association of Homebuilders for its "green," or environmental, qualities and the overall quality of the construction.
"We're just trying to make a statement that we can do better," he said. "It's just really sad."

My tag line is intended for, but wasted upon, people like this. If they wanted to make a real difference, they'd build cobb houses, or "earthships" - whichever is more appropriate to the northwest. Additionally, they could set up affordable housing and/or sweat equity for those green homes they might build. Like I said though, I'm wasting my breath. Crap like this makes me momentarily contemplate public stoning or flogging for criminal offenses.

Are we CERTAIN that the ELF did this? Houses in excess of $1M that have sat on this tough market for several months may be great candidates for insurance fraud. I'm no fan of the ELF but until it is proven or there has been a claim of responsibility, I will reserve judgement.

Who knows maybe the arsonists are bunch of right wing extremists, trying to blame these crimes on environmentalists like ELF.

That is what I was telling my wife this morning when I heard that they were last years Street of Dreams and that they were vacant and unsold. I am sure the insurance companies will be looking in to it.

I'm not so sure about the insurance angle, as the homes weren't all built by the same builders. I guess it could be possible if one was having money problems and arranged the multiple fires to cover their tracks.
It also seems ironic that the fires took place on the first day the jury began deliberation in the Briana Waters case in Tacoma. She is on trial for helping set the fires at the UW a few years ago with fellow ELF members.

I just saw on the news that whoever started the fires started them all with no delay mechanisms, and used whatever fuel was already on site...they didn't bring anything with them.
Pretty unsophisticated, really...for the dumbass things that ELF is, unsophisticated they are not when it comes to fireboming $hit.
It'll be interesting to see how this one turns out...
Fish on...

Maybe Parker can set up patrols at night for these "zombies" I don't hunt or shoot eco-terrorist pussies. Just zombies.

E.L.F. is alive and well in Washington State. I had some dealings with these lunatics on the job recently. It seems only their high profile antics makes the news. For the life of me I can't understand how our young people, high schoolers, are drawn into this chaos. I hope they catch the people responsible for the arson and are made to pay for this crime.

How do they get drawn in? The same way they get drawn into any other cult or religion...sell them on the "values", which are usually pretty good, brainwash them into thinking that those values are the only values people should have (now they're off track), and once they believe that, atrocities and terrorism are the next and logical, and not very difficult to get to, steps.
Blowing up buildings, blowing up doctors, burning up mansions...it's all the same ignorant jackasses, with the same practices, just with slightly different value systems.
Fish on...
