If you haven't seen this latest Coen Brothers flick I strongly suggest you do so. It's a bit more of a serious premise than say the Big Lebowski or O Brother Where Art Though,but it's very good. Violent as hell,and Tommy lee Jones is great in it,so is Javier Bardim,I think that's his name. He's a bad mofo in this.

Who in their right mind would even watch that movie? Couple of high-sticking sheep hearders playing homo-on-the-range? WTF?

Back to the subject at hand...No Country For Old Men was a killer flick...it's too bad Tommy Lee Jones couldn't get a nomination out of it, too, but the movie garnered a ton of 'em.

I like all the Coen Brothers' films, but this one is right up there with my favorites...

I really liked it except for the ending, I just sat there asking myself WTF over and over.

I'm a huge Coen brothers fan. I am patiently waiting for it to be released and the Netflix people to send it to me. Can't wait.

Just saw it this weekend. Wow, haven't seen so many people killed in a movie since the Untouchables. - "call it!" heads you live, tails you die, Anton just couldn't kill enough people in a day's work. And the ending

loved it. it kicked butt at the oscars too, Javier won a best supporting.

Tommy Lee did a great job as well.

Just finished watching the torrent. Man there was a lot of dumb sh!t going on in that flick.

Watched it last night, finally.

It deserved the awards it got. I had to think about it for about 2 hours after I finished it, and decided that "Yeah, that is a great movie". To me it seems like the story (hence the title) was about the Sheriff character, and he actually had no bearing whatsoever on the fates of any of the other characters.

I think there are a number of allegories that could be dreamt up out of the movie, which is probably the point of it. The most obvious to me was government's relative inability to keep up with the changing times vis-a-vis the evolution of visciousness, and organization of criminals. And based on some of the dialogue, the American people's desensitization to that kind of violence.

Hey Rocket, I watched it last night too. My wife left the room, but I enjoyed the movie over all. It wasn't an award winner type movie for me, but I enjoyed it. It sure left me with a "What!?" feeling at the end.

I agree that there are alot of potential themes to expand on. I was struck solidly with Tommy Lee Jones dream. Must be an old man thing.

I sat through all the credits at the theater thinking WTF--- where's the rest of the movie?
