Well, I went to Atlanta. The inner city is pretty cool, but man, ya get outside of that place and Georgia pretty much sucks. Managed to make the most of it though. Blondebud and I went with her parents and checked out some new grills, stoves, and firepits. I of course had fishing on my mind and spent a little time exploring the country side, that is when I realized just how bad Georgia is, especially compared to here. Not the prettiest place. One night at dinner, the mother-in-law wanted Alaskan King crab legs at this fancy seafood resturant we went to. $116 for half a crab, what a joke, had obiously been frozen, then cooked again, tough was the meat with little flavor. The lobster was okay, best fish was Parrot fish, best shellfish was the raw oyesters. Funny thing though was out driving around and was stopped at an intersection, that is when I realized that Sol must have been to Georgia before, and they named a street after him. Here is Sol's street.. This is the stuff we were looking at. This is Burt Reynolds old house from back in the Smokey and the Bandit days. On a typical evening, in the neighborhood of some friends of ours down there, the garage doors are all open, everyone walks from house to house drinking, and playing college drinking games. Pretty funny stuff. The lots are very large, 1 to 2 acres, but long so they build these housing developments with good chunks of land, but the houses are still in neighborhoods, and friendly neighbors they are. When it get late at night, if one neigbor wants to sleep, and a house next door is being too loud, they just flicker the outside lights a few time, that's the signal to quiet down or move to another house further down the road. This happened, but the fire was in a little firepit in the driveway of the house we were at, so move on we did, and so did the firepit. Some neigbors random house, Jerry would have like this house, they had shots of Patron lined up and going all night, till 3 in the morning. Everyone had labs, Jeep wranglers, and a harley in the garage or driveway. This is the court house in the county that tried to prosecute Larry Flint. (Hustler) This is the corner by the court house that he was shot on. Churches on every corner, and Waffle houses on every corner like coffee stands here. Ya can't by any alcohol on Sundays, not even in the resturants. Only a few places in Georgia allow Sunday alcoholic beverages. Car washes are everywhere too, and cheap, $3.99 or $2.99 with free vaccumms to use. And you can buy bait in a vending maching at shops along side the road. Nothing says the south like a bass boat screaming across a lake, and this was an ugly lake. Here is the prettiest views I could find while down there, when I was out exploring. This guy catching a trout. Yes, Nofish, there's guys like you here too. Our friends took us to redneck biker bar. They told me to be on the lowdown, or should I say Lowedown so I wouldn't get beat up. It was a blast and all them "bad" ass redneck bikers were just a bunch of cool dudes and dudets out having a good time. I took turns trying to find the oldest or ugliest ladies to pull out and dance with, it made for good times. A couple pics of the prefunk, and the biker bar. You can go there and have fun, but you couldn't pay me enough to live there.

I remember getting disoriented and a bit lost in Atlanta after a Dead show( and after alot of acid and Humboldt county indica). All the hippies camped out at stone mountain. Had a blast every time I went there. As a former chef and someone who has spent around 16 years living in the south on and off stick with local or regional specialties and local seafood and you will find some really great food wherever you go. BBQ is usally a great choice in Georgia as is slow cooked home down soul food. I love the standard Rico butt shots from the bars. Be it Forks or Chattahoochie Ga. you know how to make a great post and have a great time.-Tom

Nice pics Rico! When I was living in Florida I made it up to Georgia a couple of times and it sure was UGLY. Wintertime in the South is not as pretty as one would think. Yeah, the landscape is ugly for sure. I'd much rather be in Florida. I know 8 people who use to live on the island that now live there, basically cuz it is way cheaper to live there and you can get a really nice house for half of here. But they all hunt, and don't fish, so they really aren't missing much except for the ugliness. I couldn't last one month unless it was deer or turkey season. TBJ, the barbeque'd pork was the fav. for down there, followed by the Waffle house breakfast. We went by Stone Mountain too. Ya gotta travel 15 miles to find a Starbucks outside of downtown. Watered down cheap beer is the beer of choice. Icetea is prefered over pop. They all think it rains almost everday here. The fishing is what I was most dissapointed with. I was making an attempt to run through the woods to this creek that I thought for sure would have fish in it, our buddies told me, "No, don't do that." "Why?" I said. They said cuz it's warm and the snakes will be getting out around there, ya gotta have snake boots on, plus there's no fish in there, just snakes. Seems ya gotta be on the coast to get any good fishing, for redfish and stuff like that. Like I said, had a great time, but that place is not for me.

Looks like fun. How many of you have had your motorbike stolen from you at a biker bar?
Me! Eastlake Zoo. One of my favorite haunts, back in the day.

Be careful about which waffle house you go to. One late night/early morning a few of us walked in to one in downtown Orlando. Two dudes were doing something under the booth with thier feet. We were'nt paying any attention until they had just left and the waiteress screamed. Apparantly there was love mayonaise all over the seats that she was less than thrilled with cleaning up. YUK! I have'nt been to one since.

When we were there, Kid Rock was there also in court cuz he has charges against him for fighting in a Waffle House. My favorite part of the Waffle House experience was our waitress had no teeth, and when she yelled our order in, it sounded a bit like another language. I had to ask her to repeat herself everytime she asked us something. But the food was pretty good.
I'll call ya Oneway.

I ate at a Cracker Barrel once.
Once. I like crack, Oh man, I've got such a good line I want to say about crack, but, I'll refrain myself for a late Friday night amongst friends. I did use my barrel once in a crack.

I took turns trying to find the oldest or ugliest ladies to pull out and dance with,..... You succeeded admirably, my friend. You should have seen some of them Sol. It was fun. The older ladies were awesome, actually, the older they got the more fun it was. The ugly ladies, well, that's another story. One of them ended up down on the ground trying to do the worm while I was dancing with her. At that point I did walk away for my own dignity, of which there is little. There was some ugly ones though, almost like they were trying to be ugly. Ugly as some I've seen from the OP. Or maybe worse.
