To be completley honest, I too find it astonishing that this is even a race.
Obama should be ahead in polls like 70/30.
Economy, the war, housing crisis, fuel prices....

The fact that this race is even on the same page tells me that it really does not matter who is on either ticket, this country votes down party lines based on the historical traditions of each party and is split 50/50.

You could run an elephant against a donkey and the numbers would probably be the same.
