Democrats are better for the economy than Republicans.

Democrats better for the Economy

If you're wondering why a formerly honorable man like John McCain would build his presidential campaign around issues that are simultaneously beside-the-point, trivial, and dishonest (sex education for kindergartners, lipstick on pigs), the numbers presented here may help to solve that mystery. Since the conventions ended, McCain has mired the presidential race in dishonest trivia because he doesn't want it to focus on what voters say is the most important issue this year: the economy.

There is no secret about any of this. The figures below are all from the annual Economic Report of the President, and the analysis is primitive. Nevertheless, what these numbers show almost beyond doubt is that Democrats are better at virtually every economic task that is important to Republicans.

Hmmm, Here I was thinking the "rich" guys invest their money...which spurs the economy.

Must be a chicked-vs-egg thing.

Dems infact made sure that people who cant afford homes could move in. That went well. But hey, Barney will look into it, unless Obama wins.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Over the last 100 years, the economy has performed best with a Democrat in the White House, and a Republican-controlled Congress.

I like to hear guys in the bottom 20th percentile income bracket supporting Trickle Down Economics. Warms my heart.

:p

401k's were a GOP "Contract with America" idea, so corporations could shaft retirees out of pensions and use the retirement funds at their own discretion. 401k's dont sound like such a swell idea anymore versus a guaranteed pension plan, do they?

Don't think this is a good idea. Chilean program is often cited as an option to Social Security but it really isn't working as well as Social Security. Just another scam to fleece the flock thru undisclosed fees. Only ones who seem to like it are groups like Cato and maybe Rush dito heads.

Privatization is Neo-con codespeak for handing over trillions in tax dollars to Private companies that have zero oversight.

Want Halliburton handling your golden years? Look how well they've done in Iraq.

Republicans keep on promising tax cuts at the expense of raising the national debt. Clinton was the last president to have us on track to a balanced federal budget. Obama is surging in the polls because they know he's better for the economy. The fascination with Palin is taking a back seat to the financial crises attributed to Bush. The race is close in swing states like Florida, Indiana, North Carolina, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

Any bets on McCain dumping Palin because of her"trooper gate" problem and the emails that have been circulating from her yahoo account. Her use of the private email for state business is a criminal matter but if it was good enough for the Bush W.H. then it should be OK for her. Right?

Never said it was OK but now that the info is out there it is tough to deny it.
The wire tappping is being done at the request of G.W. so that should be OK. Right? It is OK for GW to shread the Constitution, right? After all "it is just a piece of paper.

"I don't give a goddamn," Bush retorted. "I'm the President and the Commander-in-Chief. Do it my way."

"Mr. President," one aide in the meeting said. "There is a valid case that the provisions in this law undermine the Constitution."

"Stop throwing the Constitution in my face," Bush screamed back. "It's just a goddamned piece of paper!"

" Bush actually prevented attacks on our country by doing so" so says the adminstration. Bull$hit .I wouldn't believe ANYTHING that comes out of the mouth of Bush or his cronies. He is a proven liar.
Do you know how to tell is Bush is Lying?
His lips are moving.

The Administration "claims" attacks have been prevented because of the wiretapping. Coming from a credible source, the information might be compelling. However, Bushco blew its credibility wad early in its first year. Further, if protecting the Constitution (essentially that's what sets the US apart from any other country) requires shredding the Constitution, then what's left to protect?
