E-4 when I got out, turned down SSG as a re-enlistment offer, best choice I ever made. Also, when looking into re-enlisting in reserves, was offered OCS, but turned that down too. Being in the military allowed me to grow up, something that could have obviously helped you with your arrested development issues.
