The movie is correct, however, the quote is wrong.

Dobbs: 'If you're the police where are your badges?'
Gold Hat: 'Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges! I don't have to show you any stinkin' badges!'
This in turn was adapted from B Traven's 1927 novel upon which the movie was based:
"All right," Curtain shouted back. "If you are the police, where are your badges? Let's see them."

Wow-that was a thread killer. the quote is from the Mighty Quinn, a lite weight flick with Denzel Washington as a Carribean island police chief, a dead guy cooked in a hottub, with a Reggae soundtrack. Rita Marley is the screamer in the beginning and two Marley daughters sing back up to Denzel's wife.
