Check out his latest initiative: http://www.permanent-offense.org/I don't get it. Most of the State's cities and counties are in a perpetual decline in revenue. This initiative assumes revenue is growing enough every year, that when capped at inflation, will provide all of this extra money to lower property taxes. I am not at all an Eyman fan. He has lost a lot of his appeal over the years. If you watch this guy in a debate about Goverment, he is good for about 5 minutes and then has nothing left.

at least now he is getting paid legally instead of stealing donors money like in the beginning...dont like the guy or many of his initiatives but it is cool to know that anyone of us could do the same thing with an issue we really care about and see it become law if we have enough support

I liked that he lowered vehicle tabs. Used to be a pain in the arse when the car and truck tabs came due at the same time. I understand that the government needs revenue to fix the roads. I'd rather pay more in gas tax.

That thief's 15 minutes have long expired. He's a sponge and a parasite, that stole donor money for personal use. Just another cheating low life thief.

i pay more for tabs than i would have without eyman's initiative. you buy a $40k truck, you can afford to buy the tabs for it! Sure, but 6 years from now when they are over inflating the value of your truck by a substantial amount and taxing based on their assessment you might have a different opinion. What the state was doing with vehicle licensing was almost criminal. Pretty much the same way they assess your home value and tax you on it. OVER-INFLATED! The people of this state had been asking for years to change the valuation process to something that resembles reality but the state only had $ signs in it's eyes. I'm not an Eyman fan but our state was basically stealing from us. I had a 10 year old Ford Ranger with 215,000 miles and they were taxing me based on their value of $7,500. Huh? If they hadn't been doing that for so many years people wouldn't have voted for 696 or whatever it is. 10 year old Subaru Outback worth $12,000?

This latest scam does not work for me. I don't want to place limits on my county government like that. They have been fiscally responsible IMO and I would rather let them continue to govern just the way they have been all along. Aunty, move into King County. Your opinion of county government would be a bit different. I really don't expect them to be fiscally responsible. After all, it isn't their money being spent on self cleaning toilets.

King County isn't Mason County. We have over 1.5 million people living here. We also have a pretty big percentage of the State's high maintenance people. Add to that all of the infrastructure to support this large population and business center and I think you can see that goverment here has a much bigger challenge.
I don't particular care for Ron Sims or some of the King County Council, but it is a daunting task to run a county as big and diverse as King . King County is facing and will face even bigger challenges as revenue continues to dry up. Eyman's idea of doing tax policy by inititative has alreaady contributed to many of the problems local goverments face. But, on the other hand, people vote for it. So people shouldn't complain when you can't get a cop or snow plow when you want it.

Mike, you're right. 1.5 million people is a pretty large tax base. Too many needy hands out there. Too many of them don't own a vehicle or home and are more than willing to cast their vote to tax people who do own an automobile and a home.
Eyman's a tool. No disagreement here.
They fund crap that isn't important and ask us to vote for Medic 1 levies or more money to keep our parks open.
The SLUT.....? Have you gotten off at Mercer St since it started running? 'Nuf said.
