I gave it a shot over the weekend. TERRIBLE!! At times I was embarrased for the "comedians", the writing is shiat.

But yes, SNL sucks.

With the exception of a few specific things, the show is horrible. It seems to be the nature of long-running sketch comedy shows. Chappelle was a brief savior.

Adam Samberg is occasionally writing some funny stuff though. "Diack in a Box", "Jizz in my Pants", and "Mark Walberg talks to animals" all cracked me up.

I have to say that last week's musical guests, Fleet Foxes, put on an impressive musical performance.

SNL is better than Ny-Tol if you suffer from insomnia.

SNL has sucked since Phil Hartman left...may he rest in peace. also Will Farrells a one joke joke his best stuff was on SNL he should have stayed.

Haven't watched SNL regularly since the Eddie Murphy, Joe Piscopo days... for good reason.

I too gave it a shot the other night. I was soo pissed durning the election and the biasedness that I swore them off.

Fleet Foxes was pretty cool. Not my normal cup of tea, but they sounded pretty darn good!!!!!!

If I'm looking for comedy relief, I like the Dave Chapell Show. One funny cat.

i don't understand how anyone can be pissed of at SNL for "being biased"...they're entertainment, not political pundits.

If it was equal or even close to being equal it wouldn't have been a big deal. It was no big secret which candidate SNL was supporting.

And as far as entertaint value goes.... thats a bit of a stretch, but to each his own.

It's not about the candidate they were supporting. They just took advantage of the low hanging fruit. As a matter of fact, all comedians will have to work harder after tomorrow.

as for snl, it seems they have 100's of comedians now, none of which are any good. The only exception is Darall Hammond (with good writing).

Fox news is totally biased to the right. No different than MSNBC, CNN or any of the other news networks being biased to the left.

I agree totally. It just doesn't have that kick like it did. I think the last bit of funny left when the Will Ferrel and Chris Farleys left. I have tried to watch, thinking the whole time that I had just fallen out of the loop of hillarity. But rapidly I came back to the reality of the situation and realized, it just sucks now.

They have one or maybe two funny skits each week and the rest sucks.

Andy Samberg and Kristen Wiig put out some funny stuff.

At one time, SNL was THE place for great comedy. Belushi/Ackroyd/Chase/Piscopo/Franken/Radner/Murphy/Morris/Curtain/Ferrel/Farley/Schneider/Meyers/Carvey/Short/Rock/Lovitz/Spade/Crystal/Sandler/Hartman/Nealon/O'Brien/Morgan/Wayans/Stiller/Macdonald/Fey/Shannon........that's quite a list of talent.

But in the last few years, it's lost its appeal to me. I've tried watching it recently, and it just doesn't deliver the way it used to. It's a shame, really.
