I am with Kevin Lund on this one! How about they enforce the laws they already have before adding new ones? Seems simple enough? Why keep trying to make law abiding citizens criminals? Oh yeah because those are the ones they can control.

OK I'll modify my definition of gun nut:

A gun nut is someone who sits by while his rights under the constitution are being eroded UNTIL someone dregs up some obscure bill, which will never pass, about some sort of regulation on gun ownership. Then this person, whom I call a gun nut, starts frothing at the mouth. Also known as a Dewbie.

Once again, thanks D-Squared for bringing this to our attention. I appreciate it man.

All we need to do is to ignore the little trolls, stlhead, go harley, etc. who are posting just to hear themselves squeal and to bask in the attention that they receive. It's obviously a topic that they do not care about. They just want to mess themselves in public as it were.

Again, thanks for the heads up man. That's info we need to hear.

Doc's pud, I made my living with a weapon for over 20 years. I still work in an environment identified by weaponry. I own a gun. STFU and go hide in your closet so they don't take your Daisy Red Ryder.

Oh, and take elk turd with you, too. He sounds so scared he just may make poopy in his pants.

If people don't fight obscure bills they will become law.

GH,
Nice to see when you cant come up with a logical arguement you find name calling and your little "STFU" to be useful. Shows what type of guy you are and the type of people that suport these bills.
And for the record(nd to stoop to your level for one moment), your cap gun you wore in the San Fran castro parade for you policeman outfit does not count as a firearm.
Jerry,
Agreed 100%.

Here's some additional info on this from the National Shooting Sports Foundation. The NSSF is a damn good outfit. You all take care now.

Where were you while the RWWJ's were encroaching all of other rights in the last eight years? Cleaning your guns? Reading Soldier of Fortune?

It seems that the "rights advocates" in any gun discussion don't seem to mind the trampling of virtually all other rights, so long as they don't touch their guns.

It's not about rights for them, no matter how they couch it...it's about guns.

I don't even think that's a bad thing, I just think they should admit it and not pretend otherwise.

i am definately not a rules man and am never for any kind of bill or legislation where more rules will be imposed on me, but i have never been directly affected by the Patriot Act and have never meet anyone who has. Have you? any kind of new law that makes it either more expensive or difficult for me to own a gun would affect me directly and really piss me off.

Dewbie-

Under the patriot act, if you have in your possession a gallon can of gasoline, 3in1 oil, and certain brands of fertilizer, you can be labeled a terrorist by our government, stripped of your constitutional rights (including your guns), and shipped off to a location to be named later. Most people have these items in their garden/tool shed. Do you see how this is a problem? It's no different than if Hitler declared you an 'enemy of the fatherland' - you are toast.

The only thing I've seen driving the price of firearms up is the panic buying by people that are hysterical about laws that haven't been passed or enacted yet. And, if you were thinking about it, why would you spend money on firearms that you claim the government is going to take away from you anyway?

Don't listen to me though, I stuck a curtain hanger in an a.c. outlet as a child and it's completely ruined my ability to freak out. wink

You are far from logical in your arguments, and there was nothing to debate in your asisine assumptions. Contrary to your delusional postulation, I am not anti-firearm. And I do not support the above mentioned bill. Nor do I support irrational cowering whiners that soil themselves from sniveling convulsions everytime a gun issue comes up.

I was just counting down to how long it would take someone to say that if it didn't affect them personally, it's OK to trample your constitutional rights.

Guess, what.........no gun legislation has ever affected me personally. So is it OK if I don't give a sh!t about efforts to trample on the 2nd Amendment? DC gun ban.......didn't affect me. I guess it's cool to ban guns in DC, then?

Get your head out. It's NEVER good when the gov't tramples your Constitutional rights, whether it affects you personally or not. The reason is, first it's "their" rights being trampled..........then it's your rights.

The rights granted you by the Constitution are what makes you a free American. Only some Commie should be OK with ANYONE losing the rights given them by the greatest document ever written.
