John Clayton Reports Pretty big splash for the Hawks. I like that guy, solid performer, good hands, good attitude.

I read last week that he was talking to the Hawks, the vikes, or stay at Cincy. I think it was a good move for both Hoosh and the Hawks. Now what happens to the other high dollar recievers. Is Bobby gone, Deon gone, or Nate gone?

I think it is a great pick up and disagree with the poor character comment. I know he had some issues when he was in junior college prior to OSU. But I havent heard anything negative about him since he has been in the NFL and has been outspoken in his support of the hard line stance of the new commish

Sweet! Now they need to trade or cut Branch, looks like the 4th pick will be an OL and not Crabtree. Whosyermamma has size and heart. Just hope Hass can stay healthy this year.

Zero character issues in NFL, averages 100+ catches and is a terror in the RedZone...hellofapickup and the flexibility come draft time will be huge...

what ever happened to Branch? I hope Hoosh doesnt fall to the Hawk curse. I would be a lot more excited if they picked up some new lineman that could blow holes even Shawn Alexander could run through.

Of course his numbers will be slightly lower... He's a reliable handed reciever who's pretty solid. Can't really say the same about Branch or Burleson...

He is THE leading receiver catch wise over the past 3 years in the NFL. No he did not get 100 per year early in his career but look at his past 4 years, he is real close to 100 per and puts up a ton of TD's as well...perfect receiver for the WC Offense...

His career stats are misleading. He DNP his first 3 years in the NFL. Also he did not even start playing football until he was a junior in high school.

Not with last years O & D lines, got some work to do there before we start talking playoffs. Going to be hard for Hasselbeck to complete passes to Housh (or anyone else) while he's running for his life or flat on his back. Just my $.02 worth.

Going to be hard for Hasselbeck to complete passes to Housh (or anyone else) while he's running for his life or flat on his back. Just my $.02 worth. Well we just signed Cole who is a 335# D-lineman, who the Packers wanted to have back, and by getting a FA reciever that means we can focus on getting an O-lineman or D-lineman with our 4th overall pick (instead of Crabtree). Also we are changing the O-line to a zone blocking scheme, which probably fits us better since we have some decent athletes on the O-line and not a lot of size. If you remember the end of the season last year, we played pretty well on the o-line with our group of back-ups. Getting some big beef on the D-line was my #1 priority, to take the pressure off of our undersize linebackers, and they have done that. Cole is not a great player he is just big, which is what we have alwasy been missing.

The O line will be great this season! The zone blocking that the hawks went with last season started to pay dividends towards the end of the year. They actually started to play like a unit I'm stoked about the HOUSH signing now we can draft the best player available!! Trading down in the draft could be a good option as well.
