anyone ever run spin glows infront of a pink worm? i always see and hear of guys running cheaters or corkies infront of pink worms to give some added movement to the worm, and to prevent the worm from bunching up when snagged. but i never hear or see anyone put a spin glow infront.
so any of you guys ever do it? and have luck?

I have tied a few up and inevitably the spin-n-glo wound up the whole leader into a huge mess while drift fishing. Yes, I used beads to try to eliminate the twist, but it didnt work for me.
Dibblers give Worms a little movement, but normal cheaters and/or corkies dont IMO. They just add floatation and help protect the 'verm.

I've done that and I've also used a wobble glo in front of a worm and caught fish on both. Now I stick to corkies primarily, threading the worm on the leader with a corky between the worm and the hook.

I haven't noticed that it makes a difference. That whole worms swings and wiggles pretty good. I think once it's in their face it either grabs it or it doesn't.

i have done it that way...only because i didnt have any beads at the time to put in the back. didnt really feel to confident setup like that so it only lasted a couple drifts before i took it off. so i didnt notice what the action of the worm was like.
i dont drift with worms to often, i have only hooked one fish drifting a PW. so my confidence level is super low. BUT give me a flow and ill fish PW's all day long. actually did all day today on the snoqualmie for that matter.

I've done it and it seems to have a nice presentation for sure....although I cannot prove that it works for the simple fact that I've never caught a steelhead on a worm in my life.....

+1 on wobble glow in front of p/w, it gives good action but i like a more au' nataral aproach most of the time, just think of how a real worm would flow down the river if it found it way in the river, it dooesnt have a huge spinning head on it, at least the worms where i come from dont

I've fished cheater in front, and a steelhead puff ball at the hook . It actually works really well. +1

They work but unless someone wants to give me a free lifetime supply of spin-n-glows, it isn't worth it for me. There is a reason worm fisherman carry a roll of rigged worms with them. ....a roll of foam?

Only behind a diver....after that...no comment. And then only when there are NO smolts/trout in the river!

behind a diver is pretty simple. One thing I have tried is running a PW, then pegging a corky at the head of the worm from the underside. Then put a small bead and then the spin-n-glo. I've fished it in dirty water and swing it like a spoon with a big slinky. Its a big setup, but with the pegged corky and spin-n-glo it floats up nice, doesn't twist and you can really let that setup creep along as it swings.
That being said ...... i've never hooked anything other than dollies with it, but seems like it'd work???

I look at worm fishing like I do spoon fishing. In fact I fish both similarily. I am covering water rather quickly when using these methods for aggresive fish and the strike is a reaction strike. Just get it in front of their face. I swing them through the pockets and under logs . Same with spoons. I'm trying to draw fish from out of their protective lair.
