Ok, here's the deal. My living room window is Milguard brand. A center window with 2 smaller sliders on either side. They are double-pane and sealed. The one on the right appears to have had it's seal broken because there is now a sheen on the inside. My question to you all is if there is a way to replace the smaller slider window without having to do the whole 3-window affair? I've studied and tinkered with the window and I'll be damned if I can find a way to free it from the frame. Anyone know if this is possible? Here's a couple of closeups of the slider that needs replacing, just to give you an idea of the style. ![](http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z45/newty454/P1010462.jpg)

Have you tried opening it half way and then lifting up ? On some sliders there are roller adjustment screws that can be backed off.

Look for adjustment screws along the bottom on both the leading and following edges. If you get stuck, give me a call and I'll head over. There may also be adjustment screws on the top edges as well.

I just stood there and held tools and kept my mouth shut. Hard to believe, but if that's true, Hubby has you well trained. I don't believe that for a New York second!!!

Call Milgard before you mess with it. If it has a warranty and you have done anything to remove it, you may have voided the warranty. And yes, any of the panes can be replaced.

Call Milgard---they'll fix/replace. Usually fer free. Don IS Milgard, I'd call him 1st. Might as well get some "custom rod talk" going while you have him on the phone... ![cool cool](/forum/images/graemlins/default_dark/cool.gif) c/22

Call Milguard for sure. A few years back we had a pane fog up. Called Milguard. First, someone walked down the trail to our beach house to measure the pane. Later someone carried the pane down the trail, put it in , all at no charge.

The flankers should remove easily. Simply slide towards the inside and lift sash straight up and pull bottom of sash out towards you over the top of the slider track and and frame. The best advice given so far is to contact your closest milgard dealer as the IG unit should be warranteed against seal failure. Let the dealers deal with it as that is their purpose in the chain of sales. If I'm not mistaked many have service riders or contract out to glazers for their warranty work. It's sometimes best to have a shop reglaze the new IG's as the glazing stop on some vinyl windows can be easily broken while de-glazing the glass, especially if its low end vinyl with single wall stop..Call your local dealer and check on IG's warranty first then proceed from there...Either way you go all you need to do is replace the IG, no reason to replace the entire flanker..
