Well the big day was Saturday. My daughter, Shannon, has some serious health issues and while only 34 already has a "Bucket LIst". Soooo, dad paid for two tandem jumps. All went well and we both had a ball, but I have to say jumping out of an airplane was not an easy thingk to do for this old guy who is afraid of hieghts.

Anyway, here is a video. It's mostly of my daughter, but you can see me hurtling toward the ground just before her jump. I love the look on her face just before they jump.

Thats awesome Vedder, same place I did it to "celebrate" my divorce. Hardest part is sticking your legs out of the plane onto the little platform...

That definately brings back some memories. Just watching the video brings back the feeling of my heart feeling like it was going to leap out of my neck while climbing to 13,000ft.

The initial sensation of your body leaving the plane has to be the best part. If being recorded one must resist the urge to go fetal or frantically doggie paddle.

Of course, for my first jump I was strapped to some tie dyed, hippie dude everyone called "Johnny 9 Lives". How reassuring.

We left the plane by doing several front flips before going into our arch. It was effin' radical.

Terrified of heights myself so the two times I've gone are enough for me. No sense in tempting fate

I've jumped 6 times. 2 tandem and 4 static line and I don't think there is another experience that quite matches skydiving... especially that first minute of free fall!

Skydive Snohomish is a first-rate company and their videos are top notch!
