My neighbor and I have been making our own flashers for several years now. it has been cool to custom tape them and experiment with materials.

Curious if others do the same? Who makes their own own blanks? If there were blanks avaliable who would be interested?

I make all my flashers and have never bought a store bought one.

They work but look out if eyedoc sees this post.

I'd be interested in seeing what size/shape you are making. I had a couple ideas with the whole flasher thing....

i've been using my own flasher wear for awhile. have had good success with a trench coat. by far and away i prefer a long yellow rain parka.

They are either 8 or 9 inches. fish flash style but made out of a thinnner, stronger material.

Brewer,

I am a little disapointed in your comment. I would have figured you as a guy that likes to roll in skimpy jogging shorts, bending over to "tie your shoe" thus exposing your manhood. whatever though...

How much for just the plastic flasher assuming a guy has his own swivels and stuff??

Can you place orders online?

cannot order online. I no longer own/run Big Moby Tackle. just advise when needed....

The flashers are made by my neighbor who is a disabled vet. I have referred many guides to him and they have become repeat customers. They are nice clean blanks made from Lexan (very strong stuff).

If PPer's want to get a few I would be willing to accumulate an order and give it to him.

sounds good Keith (i'll touch base with you monday). I will wait until tuesday and see what other interest is there before I give him a total.

I'm heading out of town so send me a pm or post if interested... I'll get back to anyone on Monday.

I started by making my own because I was tired of paying $15 each. Kinda spun out of control to a small business. Custom colors are no problem.
Stainless steel ball bearing swivels and thicker material than others so the breaking issue from sun exposure is lessened

i made about a doz one afternoon in my shop out of some scrap plexiglass i had just laying around. cut a slot in the bottom of a 1 gallon can which i put upside down on my mr heater to make a nice bend on those corners. 12 fishflashers for less than 5 bucks because of tape and hardware expense...

Let me tell ya Hotrods, I already have them on my boats and they are the best. I can get a 15 rod spread each and every time I go out and cover at least 50' feet on every pass. j/k
