It looked more of a foul on the guy who was battling for the rebound, not Williams...dude grabbed the ball, got hit in the arm hard, then took the shot that got blocked...if they called that foul, he'd have been on the line for two, blocked shot or not.

At least I was right about that game...Memphis did indeed give them everything they could handle.

I like AZ over Texas.

That game felt like another Arizona/UW matchup. Memphis had good guard play, scrappy defense, hit some big three pointers, and could score quickly off turnovers and in transition. They didn't have much front line power and missed free throws that were critical near the end. Throw in that final seconds blocked shot by Derrick Williams and you've got...DEJA VU!

Glad Arizona survived to play the second round game. If Washington had a frontline player like DW to complement IT, making the Final Four might not be "crazy talk".

Is it just me or does Georgia look ALOT bigger?

N'Diaye is more of a liability than anything...so frustrating to watch the poor dude on offense. I have a feeling him and MBA are going to simply overpowered.

We're hanging in there though...just need some shots to start falling.

Big guys is our weakness...N'Diaye is big, but not good. MBA is good (sometimes), but not big.

When MBA plays at his best, he plays big...but he's still not.

He needs to be solid, and our shooters have to shoot...that's how we will win.

Fairly low scoring first half. Glad to see them tie it up before going into the break. Seems like UW has played better in the second half recently. That will need to continue for them to get the win.

Yep....MBA is great at alley oops and when he's all alone with nobody around him, but is not able to finish strong in traffic.

This team consists of two mighty mites, a big immobile galoot with zero basketball skills, and six good athletic 6'5" - 6'9" players. I didn't think they were terribly undersized in the Pac-10, but it is evident here at the tourney. If they make it past Georgia they are going to really struggle against UNC...Henson and Zeller, both skilled 7 footers, will chew us up.

That said, it's a tie game at half despite the poor shooting. Get Wilcox and/or Ross hot and I think they can pull it out.

It'll be same against UNC if we hang on in this one...our only answer to big guys beating us up inside is to rain threes and beat them by one point every time down the floor...problem is that big guys inside have a much higher shooting percentage than our guys shooting outside.

That's when we need Isaiah and Venoy to spend a lot of time at the foul line...get those big guys in foul trouble...and at his best, MBA plays much bigger than he is...we'll need him to be at his best for another two weeks, and he hasn't shown me that he can do it more than one game at a time, maybe two if he's comfortable.

MBA has to step up...period. He's the key to our success.
