Toyo M55s ordered from Discount Tire. Commercial grade traction tire.
You'll save 25% over buying them at Les Schwab.

Coopers, or just buy some used tires for $50 each. Did that for many years while I was poorer than I am now.

Retreads. Back when I was a poster child for the poor, I bought an entire set of retreads, complete with bubble balancing, for $50. That would be the same year I had two flat tires on opening day of hunting season. Do they even make retreads for light trucks and autos these days?
huntncoug, What size are you looking for? Lots of used tires on craigslist. Whole sets including some with rims, too.

Check your local tire dealers for new vehicle take offs.If they do any business with new car dealers they should have some available. It all depends of the size of tire your looking for.It will save you about 50% on tires with less than 50 miles on them.

Just put some new Bridgestone AT Revo's on my F150, not cheap (800.00) but I really like them. YMMV

I can't afford Les Schwab anymore Between studded tires last fall, and tires yesterday for my youngest son's B3000 truck. I'm wishing I had some LS stock. I may have to take up Salmon/Steelhead guiding part time to get moneyed back up. Mf

I just put a set of Coopers Discovery AT on my 3/4 GMC. They were less than 200 bucks a tire.

I have been running Cooper Discoverer STT's for a while now, and they rock. Cooper = big thumbs up.

Went through the same thing last summer. My old tires were worn and popped a hole up on the gravel road. Needed something with a nice thick tread as I've popped a few on that road.
I checked Craigslist, Ebay, dealers, and on-line warehouses.
There's some junk yards or places that specialize in used tires especially from Tacoma to Everett. They list on Craigslist. Could also buy re-treads for cheap on Ebay.
Just do your homework and you'll figure it out.

most of you guys have it wrong, I am not cheap or strapped for cash. I only drive my truck 2,000 miles per year. I dont want to have to buy an expensive new tire because it would be junk way before I got full use out of it. On my rigs that I drive consistantly I only buy the best tires, I would be stupid to buy a set of 1400$ tires that would last me as long as 600$ tires. Maybe you should have stated this to begin with?

Thanks Sunday, I googled them and they very nice but kind of spendy. I should also add that I olnly drive my truck about 2,000 miles a year. I am looking for someting around 200 bucks a tire. Im affraid my tires will go bad from sitting around before I get my moneys worth out of them. He did .. .. . . .
