If a lake is not listed in the regs but has fishing does this mean it is a Year round lake with general statewide rules?

I figure but thought I might ask.

I don't have the reg's in front of me, but I belive that it would be the general season with state wide reg's.

If it were year around it would be in the reg book.

Could be one of two things.

Either it's a year round lake with "anything goes" rules..... or you have the name of the lake wrong.

Just a thought as some lakes are called a couple of different names.... but this is not that common.

Probably it's a year round lake with no game department launch. A game department launch was another criteria for making some of the lists.

According to the regs it says that lakes are open 24/7 unless it is listed in the special rules section. Then you have to abide by their rules.

When you look at the rules go to page 56.

Thanks Old Man,

Thats what I thought but then again I have been wrong about the regs before.

So 24/7 Statewide General Rules. I take it

As I was reading what I wrote. I just happen to pick them up to look at something. Even if a lake is open year around it will sometimes be listed because of special regulations, such as chumming allowed or not. Motors allowed or not. It pays to have the regs with you when you fish so you can answer all of the game wardens questions when he tries to write you a ticket for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.A good map also helps.

Yes I looked at your Page 56 and in the middle in BOLD letters. I confess I used the world wide web before I stuck my nose in the book. A have a pocket in my tackle box that holds my regs so they are always with me. Wether I understand them enough to argue with a Warden is not for me to say but I could at least build a small case and state what I thought. They might cut me some slack.

Anyway thanks for the direction and now I know and probably many others that surf this board.

Thats why the world has "Old Man" around to pass info to us "young pups"

Thanks again OLD MAN.
