"In 2005, Public Health’s Injury Prevention Unit published the “Profile of Pedestrian Fatalities in King County, Washington 2000 – 2003.” The report found an average of 26 pedestrians die in King County each year because of crashes involving motor vehicles."

Oh oh. More than die from drowning. Mandatory Pedestrian Safety Helmet anyone?

I didn't realize high flows and snowpack would cause you to "slip off rocks or logs and hit your head".

Watch out for that cedar river, its a real rager...... woot

Live yah learn.

What's next? No snowboarding or skiing without a helmut? No hiking without a GPS? How about no extreme sports? Where do you draw the line of letting people make their own decisions concerning THEIR own safety? Ofcourse it's wise to wear a life jacket when on the river but so is chewing your food before swallowing...........sheesh! smirk

i have said for years that the Fresh Air Permit, which is a license to breathe in Washington State, is just around the corner.

Breathing "is a priviledge."

Too bad they can't just pass a "lack-of-common-sense" ordinance.
