Virtually new Ambassaduer 7000CL reel.

$100 plus $7.50 shipping & handling.

I have only used this reel for one trip to B.C. for Chinook. It handled
about 25 Chinook.

I still have my 40 year+ red one which so don't need the new one.

Penn Squidder, Excellent working condition, some exterior corrosion from saltwater use. This reel is about 45-50 years old which I bought new. It hasn't been used for over 30 years.

$35.00 plus $7.50 shipping and handling.

I'd think it would be a fine Albacore or Halibut reel for a bargain price.

If someone wants to pick the Squidder up in Monroe, I'll add in a Fenwick glass Pacific Stick 3/4-3 oz,15-40 pound line rod rod. for
$20.00

I am interested in the Squidder, is the corrosion minimal? (do you have the box, or the extra spool?)

I have over a hundred reels right now so one more is not going to matter.

Jason,

The corrosion is minimal, I just wanted to be clear that is does have some.

Sorry, no longer have the box or extra spool.

I also have a Penn Delmar 285, but it is stiff so I need to open it up to see what the problem is.

I feel like a piker in the reel department compared to you, I don't think I have more than a couple dozen.

Piker- thats rich I have plenty of reels due to an addiction to collecting crap. Anyway, thats still a fair price for the Squidder. I will have to look at my schedule and see if I can get over that way. I would like your advice on the paint issue we had PM'ed about.

After seeing a pic of one of my jigs after some use it looks like what I am currently doing may not be lasting.

Put me on the list if you ever decide to get rid of the old 7000. I had a pair but one went to Frances after he decided to throw one of his out of his boat last year with a loomis 1265 hooked up to coho jack.

Art,

Like my D5000's, I have too much sentimental attachment to the old red one to ever part with it unless it went to my grandkids.

I'm surprised that Francis didn't dive overboard to get his. Or at least try to run over where it was sinking with the armada of rods on his boat to try to snag it.

oh he tried.

THe one I gave him I hadn't hardly used but the one he lost was an old friend to him. Even if they happened to be made the same day it just isnt the same. My favorit was an old 5000 that my moms dad gave me. He was so proud of it and happy to give it to me that it could never be replaced.
Some POS stole it out of my rig in Ballard about 21 years ago. I collected ambasaduers for awhile but gave it up. Still have about 20 but the 7000s seem to be the only ones I use. I have a few older big 2speeds that have never been used.
