What is the best lake in Western Washington to bank fish. Taking into consideration action and access.

My vote is for Ludlow Lake in Jefferson County.

Ho about lake Washington? Tons of bank access and although I've never bank fished it we sure get plenty of good reports.

I'd say either, what is the best overall. For example, Ludlow Lake is open only in summer, but the advantages of fishing Ludlow trump not being able to fish it before April.

That is a tough question to answer. Since I gave up bank fishing years ago, now that I have a boat, it's hard to say.

How is Deep Lake right now? confused Havn't been out there since the end of the summer when the salmon showed up in the rivers. I might have to go out there some time for some BBQ size bows.

If you live up north, and like fishing for catfish, Gissberg Ponds has great fishing. The channel cats they stocked in that lake(s) are huge! I caught one about 10 pounds last year, and had another one rip my rod right into the water and take off with it.

Channel cats are so fun. Where exactly up north is this pond? I didn't know they even had channel cats in Washinton. I thought it was a mideast to eastern fish?

It's just north of Everett along I-5. Can't miss it. Used to go there often when I was living in Lynnwood. I used chicken livers on a spreader system as bait. Don't even have to fling it out very far. They've been in the lake for awhile, and NO ONE fishes for them, except for by accident. The limit is 2. If you manage to hook a Diawa Triforce-X pole with a Penn Power Graph 1500 attached, can I have it? wink
