the troutfisherman and i found 16-to-17 inch rainbows to be cooperative on banks lake. they generally fought harder than their size would lead one to expect. not that they "taxed" our tackle to the limits, mind you, but their aerobatics and diving runs were impressive.

after fishing, i went home and used the solunar tables to figure out my income taxes.

I used the balance sheet method to pay my taxes... "what do you have left... send it!"

I will be heading in that direction to fish Banks, Park, Blue, and Deep for opening weekend.

I know Banks has some nice trout. I have caught them up to 22". thumbs

Banks Lake is 200 miles from Federal Way.

Yes, there are some nice 'bows in Banks. No triploids. They are home grown. They may have been planted as smolts but grow up to be monsters. Small 'bows in Banks are 15".

I will be boating it. Got two other guys fishing with me.

I Have been fishing banks every other weekend for the last couple of months.

As the game checker or warden said to me 4 weeks ago all the trout are nearly the same size. 16-20 some up to 6 lbs. And he said they are net raised.

I fished it on the 12 of april. my dad and I got a limit each of healthy bows. And a bunch of these little scrappers sent back to the deep to be caught again.

If anyone is heading over check weather.com for wind conditions. Wind can ruin a good day on that lake. As it did for me on Sunday after staying over.

Good luck. Enjoy that great lake!
