EVERETT, Wash. -- Police were called to a home in Everett Friday night to find a man covered in blood who said he awoke to find his wife holding a running reciprocating saw to his neck.
According to a Snohomish County police document, Everett police arrived to find the bloody man shouting "it was you, it was you" and "you tried to cut my head off, you're going to jail" at his wife.
The man said he was sleeping and awoke to find a running power saw cutting his neck, a police report said.
The victim said when he turned on the light, he saw his wife holding the saw. He also said his wife attacked him with a hatchet, police said.
Police said the man had cuts to his upper shoulder and neck.
According to the police document, police entered the house and saw blood on the carpet and walls and found a bloody electric reciprocating saw on bedroom floor.
Police said they also found a hatchet partially hidden on an upper shelf in the kitchen that was wet and appeared to have been washed.
An officer interviewed the victim’s wife, who said there had been an intruder who fled out of her daughter’s window, but the officer said he saw the window had a child lock that prevented it from opening more than a few inches.
Police said they searched the home and found no one.
The woman said she fought with the intruder and had been wounded on her forearm, but police said they found no fresh marks but found dried blood on her clothes and arms that did not appear to be hers.
The woman was arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of domestic violence assault.

Best tool ever made IMO, just not a good one to have around if your old lady is seriously wacked out!

Wouldn't a chainsaw have been a better choice? Then out to the wood chipper ...

Quick! Washington State needs a new law requiring a permit to own or use such a dangerous tool or weapon in this case. $100 is a good starting point but it will probably only cover the county where you reside.

If it had been a Hilti, the crazed (any) woman would never have been able to figure out the trigger safety But the lunatic could have still given him the business, Polish style. That's where she uses the Sawzall like a hand saw DD Who is sorry (not really) if he offended any Polaks in the crowd. I'd rather get the chainsaw from the crazed bitch, the Polish Chainsaw, that is
