Ok, I heard the intake at Reiter was on fire, so I thought I'd grab some spoons and give it a shot tomorrow. Seems like "double stacking" is the way to go! Got some questions, though.... Which is the correct way to rig up a double stacked spoon? I've included a photo. Which setup is correct? Sky-Guy? Stam? Slamo G? Can any of you shed some of your expertise for us? Oh, and what's your thought on where to put the stickers on the spoons? Top side of the spoon, or on the underside of the spoon?

Dude, all three of those rock Parquito, with the bottom one with the extra swivel between the stacks the best since it will allow more action on the rear stack... nice work! I cleaned up using double stacks last year, and picked up a nice fish yesterday on one too!

Definitely the bottom rig Parker.
The pro's know how to get each spoon spinning in a different direction, otherwise known as the "death spiral." It is a 100% rig for sure.
As for the stickers, opposite and opposing for maximum visibility.
But, I must say, double stacking is sooooo last year. Triple stacks only for me. Bigger is definitely better. I am working on a new Y formation that I think will be the ultimate. The flying V is another concept in the works.

The third one is money, but I would suggest adding a hook to all four of the split rings instead of just the one. Sometimes a fish will only bite the top spoon. Not to mention, it gives you better odds of hooking more than one fish at a time. You could be done fishing on one cast!

All that, plus hangback rigging for the last spoon in the series...if you are interested in maximum effectiveness that is.

Boy do I feel like a dumb [Bleeeeep!]. I'm not in the vogue crowd and pretty much stick with what works for me regardless of what is "in". However, whenever I heard the term "double stack", I always assumed it was like taking two 1/4 ounce bodies and gluing them together to make a heavier spoon with contrasting colors. I never in my wildest dreams thought it was having two bodies in-line. You learn something all the time on PP. Now that I have seen the picture, sure seems to me like the third one with the barrel swivel has some anti-twisting advantages that could be beneficial. Parker, as far as the sticker placement, not sure it matters much. On the trade we did a while back some had your stickers. However, they seem to rub off pretty quick. I don't blame the stickers per se but rather, the teeth of all the fish I caught on them.

The double stack only works if .the 2 spoons rotate in different directions. It has to be like the tassels on a strippers pastys. It's really hard to master the technique but once you do success is guaranteed.

Funny, when trying to describe the "death spiral" I had the exact same image in mind. Still do as a matter of fact.

$hit, old news. If you're at Reiter may I suggest the new PenTac Daisy Chain Spoonee. Oh, that's right, only ProStaff have access, sorry chump!

Whew! For a minute I thought Paker was wasting his time and going to Reiter without a guide. But he'll have better than even chances if Luis guides him.
And Paker, asking me what is the right way to stack spoons? Thankfully yer kidding. I'm too cheap to fish stacked spoons. I practically cut them in two so as to only fish half a spoon at a time and get more mileage from them. Actually I jest. I fish whole spoons, but I only fish spoons I scavenge during low water. It's more affordable.
Good stacking there Paker. With the right guide, you won't miss.

How do you rate a thread five stars again?
I was on the fence until the photo of Parker sucking his thumb while spooning a stuffed sheep under a princess blanket came out. Is 5+ possible?

This version of doublestack worked really well up in BC. Completely opposed spoons generate great action, sound, and bubbles in the water... That isn't a double stack. That is a stator stack. The action of one spoon, cancels or equals the action of the other, resulting in a neutral action. While still highly effective, we aren't ready for that kind of advance in technology just yet.
