What would happen if the R's (or D's) controlled both houses of Congress? Back a few years ago, when the D's had both stuff didn't get done because the R's could gum up the Senate.
If I recall, the D's did the same gunm-up when they were the minority.
At what point will both parties realize that they need to work together? Or, do we need to wait until one or the other obtains a super majority and then does whatever they want at the expense of the minority?

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

No - it won't matter.
It's because we're electing a president, not a dictator.

No - it won't matter.
It's because we're electing a president, not a dictator. Does it matter who we vote into the house and senate? Just asking.

Keeerist Hank that’s older than I am. If you wnat olides but goodies how about we make up and I kiss your elephant . . .
Back on topic, of course it matters. Here's one example. The president gets to appoint Supreme Court justices. If Bush had not been elected we would not have had five conservative justices who decided corporations are people. If GWs predecessors had not appointed conservative justices, Junior would never have been appointed president.
The president has tremendous power and he will most certainly affect our future.

You see Hank we agree - at least on the subject of does it matter who we elect.
Of course my example was of something that actually happened. Your's not so much.

I used to think that way about the SC nominees.
But the SC has thrown down some decisions over the past several years, and not split along the lines you might have predicted, that have left me shaking my head in disbelief.
These days, it seems like Obama is Bush and Breyer is Thomas.
I'm sick of washing the balls of half of the people that are constantly pissing me off.
House and Senate members? Not too much difference there. If you made the final ballot for Congress you're already in the pockets of scumbags.
Call me cynical............because I am.

KK is right. I might have to set myself on fire for becoming so disengaged and disgusted with the whole process.
But wait..........wouldn't it be better if I set THEM on fire instead?
I just don't think that, single-handedly, I could get enough of them to make a difference.

You won't have to burn them all...I'm sure there's a tipping point where either the general public will join in, or the rest will just spontaneously combust.
The trick will be figuring out where that point is, and making a good solid plan to get you there.
Fish on...
