I'm not excited about Inslee. Mostly I like McKenna as AG. Now if only he will avoid pandering to whacko conservative social issue positions, McKenna would be a shoe-in. If he is or thinks he needs to be anti gay, abortion, environment, or even national health care to get elected, he's nuts and deserves to lose to the likes of Inslee.

Salmo, pretty sure McKenna knows he can't go down that path in this state. Wouldn't shock me though.

ya' never know. Knew Gregoire when she was DOE director; a great person then. Politics seems to change people, and not in positive ways. They begin making decisions for all the wrong reasons it seems.

If McKenna would have just stayed as he was...a moderate Republican with a good work ethic...I'd have continued to vote for him, even for Governor...problem is that as soon as he needed to run for Governor, he needed to pander to the same fruitcakes that vote for Santorum or Romney...so now he's not going to get my vote for anything, including AG (and I've voted for him in the past for that spot).

Fish on...

Todd

Question is simple for me......which one do you think can be bought by special interests?
No more "whores" for me.

Inslee lost a lot of points with me when he abandoned his district. I think he did the right thing by quitting, so he can be a full-time candidate. But the way he did it appears to prevent filling the position until November.

I'm thinking that by the time November rolls around, neither candidate will be deserving of the office. They're gonna' work for the R and D parties and not the state.

Not a big Inslee fan but I'm I see little lost by him, or for that matter all of them, leaving . WTF were they accomplishing?

BTW I worked for Jay briefly in about 1997. Like all the guys before him he was just another hack politician filling a gravy patronage job.

in theory they have a budget to approve, maybe deal with the Supremes decision on Health Care, etc.

I know it is all theoretical, but they could actually work on a few things.

Or not.
