his girlfriend was the one that found him before 10AM, and is being checked for powder residue on her hands... i guess he sent his kids texts yesterday saying he loved them... and 2 weeks ago, a bunch of players were with him and said he was up beat and happy, and being the same old Junior... his buisiness was the top rated sports bar in San Diego...

this seriously sucks, he was one of my favorite players growing up... and is a legend, and always will be... i just dont get it...

Wow........... was a true stud!

I think this stuff is happening a lot more than the NFL wants people to know. There has been some correlation between concussions and depression/suicide situations.... wonder if this might be a contributer...

Or the Bitch shot him???

Pro athletes and entertainers are unique individuals. Many times their talents hid issues that others can't see they are suffering from.
JS retired then came back to the game. Being out of the limelight can be difficult for some, which can lead to what happened today.

He drove off a cliff a few years back. I wonder if that may have been a sign of needing help?

here is a video a guy made in 2008, but put it up today... its actually eerie the music thats in it, considering what happened... the footage is spectacular tho, and shows the talent that Junior had during his 12 consecutive pro bowls, and entire NFL career...

The San Diego County medical examiner's office said an investigator was sent to the scene.
If Seau committed suicide by shooting himself in the chest, it is similar to the way former Chicago Bears great Dave Duerson ended his life. Duerson shot himself in the chest on February 17 -- the method used so that his brain could be examined for symptoms of CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy), a trauma-induced disease common to NFL players and others who have received repeated blows to the head.

Ray Easterling also shot himself less than 2 weeks ago... he was one of the first players to sue the league over concussions, and the lack of help players get after leaving the game...

if things like this continue, it will completely destroy football, far worse than it has already...

Suicide & Depression.
Undepressed people can't understand the affliction.
My brother in law killed himself eight years ago almost to the day as a result of depression.

Professional athletes suffer a huge let down when they retire and are no longer the center of attraction, especially the super stars.

A huge (and possibly the worst) side effect of anabolic steroid use is depression.

I didn't know the guy, but If I were to go out on a limb and speculate I'd look at those as possible contributing factors.

kinda weird about the 94 team is right Hank... heres the list...

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/Junio...Chargers-050212

Accidents, illness and the bizzare have all struck the 1994 Chargers. The tragic list:

• Linebacker David Griggs wrecked his car in Davie, Fla., in 1995. Tests showed he was legally drunk. He was 28.

• Running back Rodney Culver was killed in the ValuJet airplane crash in Florida in 1996. He was 26.

• Linebacker Doug Miller was struck by lightning in 1998 in Colorado. He was 28.

• Center Curtis Whitley died of a drug overdose in 2008. He was 39.

• Defensive end Chris Mims died from an enlarged heart in 2008. He was 38.

• Defensive lineman Shawn Lee suffered a heart attack in February 2011. He was 44.

• Linebacker Lew Bush also suffered a heart attack, in December 2011. He was 42.

• Seau died of a gunshot wound to the chest, which police are investigating as a suicide. He was 43

edit: not only is he the 8th player to pass away from that team, he is the 8th player that passed under the age of 45....

Agree Mom that was sad to see - hopefully that brings enough emotion for those on the ledge to go talk to Mom or someone -

Coming home from fishing today and heard this on espn radio. I couldn't frickin' believe it. A guy with the attitude, discipline, and longevity he had on the field; I thought he was one of the greats that would endure forever. I've been pretty depressed a few times in my life but never to this point (duh) and I dont understand how it goes this direction. I have seen the impact of suicide on a family and its not pretty. I'm pissed and sad at the same time. The pissed part thinks its a selfish thing to do and think he's a fukkin a$$hole for doing it. The guy on the radio said its a permanent solution for a temporary problem. The sad part is unexplainable and well...just sad.
