good point Larry... Syria is supposed to get another shipment of Mig 29s and Mi 25 choppers later this year, and also a huge air defense system... Putin has said that the sale of these items will not be used to attack the civilians... yeah, ok...
Turkey will likely level them before they even recieve them...

Perhaps the Turks should not have provoked the incident by flying into Syrian airspace...especially while their country is immersed in a civil war.

If they had much oil to speak of we'd have been there years ago, in some way or another.

the one im really worried about would be Israel vs Iran... but this Turkey Syria crap has the potential to be bad as well... for them, and for the entire world...
i honestly dont understand their fighting all the time (middle east)... yeah, i know they have been fighting for hundreds, or thousands of years, but what have they accomplished?.... nothing...

They provide about 1/2 of one percent of the world's oil supply...which clearly isn't enough to encourage us to "bring them Democracy"...

what i want to know, is why Russia is even selling them things such as missile defense systems, Mig 29s, Mi 25 attack choppers, anti aircraft systems, and the likes, while they are in a civil war with themselves...while im not there, and dont know for sure, i highly doubt that the "rebels" have a fleet of fighter jets and missile batteries... so, why would Russia be helping a terrorist country? i personally dont think its such a wise idea...

If the Syrian goverment is willing to pay for the equipment, I doubt Russia cares what Syrian's oppostion has.

Todd When have facts ever mattered in us invading someone? I didn't say they had a lot, just that they have some.

Well Russia already has a Naval Base in Syria so why wouldn't they support the Syrian government?

Syria will eventually get theirs. That place is a terrorist breeding ground and has stayed relatively under the radar this year. You can argue the war for oil blah blah blah but its more than that. Once you go there sit face to face with someone originally from Iraq that watched their parents and siblings killed in front of them while they were a kid. Only to narrowly escape to the United States to become a DOD interpetor and aid the US over there. Or when you have a college professor that was from Afghanistan prior to the Taliban taking over. His mother was a successful doctor but that went away and their whole life changed under the Taliban's regime. Then you can cast judgement. If the public new the whole story all the time we wouldn't have [Bleeeeep!] to argue about or 5 different news channels to provide unbiased information.

sup bro, just thought I'd add you cos of that badass pose you're doing in your display picture. I'm a street fighter myself so I tend to run with a pretty rough crowd and I can tell by those vicious tears in your jeans that you're a similar breed. Maybe one day we could go down to the quarry and throw rocks at cats. anyways keep it real player. R3$p3cT!

Prolly thought they were shootin' at an Israeli aircraft. They (Syria) don't need to give NATO a reason to destroy their air force. They have enough domestic troubles to deal with and those don't seem to be going away anytime soon.

Awesome racist rant fishprince. Shows that you are a wealth of ignorance. The same stuff you.see of their.cultural is what they see in ours. Once again you aren't privy nor does it seem that you have the capacities to see past media bias. The sheer fact that you ignore that I clearly stated that the two people escaped those regimes and came to the United States and are a benefit to our country, shows that you are part of the problems in this country, not the gleaming bright spot of America.

AM,
China is hard at work in Africa. And if they go into war, their lack of respect for human rights will keep it relatively short. Remember that Muslim uprising there a while backk??? Heard about anymore?
