Not as an accomplished photographer as Redhook, but I do enjoy trying to snap some photos of fast moving military hardware flying above me.
Always loved planes and jets. Never can capture a "BigStick Approved" level of photo, but I try.
Probably doesn't help that my Canon body is over 5 years old and the glass is just the standard Canon lens that came with the camera.
Buddy has a house down by Seward Parker. He throws a mean party and he's got a great view of the toys flying in the air.
When I got there, a P47 was flying in formation with a P-51. Gotta love those engine noises! Pure power!!!
The belly of the P-47....
I think Paul Allen owns this P-51. Gorgeous bird. WANT!!!!!
An F/18 Superhornet stopped by to show off the latest and greatest that the Navy has to offer. This pilot was not to be outdone by the Blue Angels and he put on a show. The guy sucked down a ton of g's during his demo.
T-38's do a fly by. Good "training".
Fat Albert likes to start things off for the Blue Angel crew....
One of my favorite shots of the day was the first initial solo that rushed over the house. A lucky shot.....
The Diamond shows off.
Diamond w/smoke.
Diamond flyby.
A solo whips past #6 in it's landing configuration.
"We were like, inverted!"
Diamond in landing config.
1-4 shooting past us with smoke.
It's tough to a get a good shot of a high speed solo....
All 6.....
Another solo that woooooshed by at some high rate of speed.....
Another attempt at #2....
Their last pass.....
Never seen or heard of an A-25 until this day. Neat looking plane and the sound of those two engines was cool.
