Just wondering as I have the weekend off. What do you guy/gals think. Is it worth hunting some up without rain this long. Do you think they will be out since it has been so dry or is fishing a better option.

Thanks

Last week I drove up to Matlock. Three mushroom buying stations had signs out. Two signs said, "Closed". I stopped at the one with an "Open" sign out. The buyer said nothing much was coming in. Access to private lands is limited because of fire danger. The buyer said pickers were finding a lot of moldy mushrooms in areas they could get into. If soaking rain comes soon, the buyer thought there could still be a season. No rain is in the forecast until the end of next week. I'd go fishing.

Heard of a few being found up near the Skagit. Not numbers that would make me want to get out and search. If I had the weekend free I would be fishing.
