I just wish I had the baseball from the mariners game little momma and the kids went ... as Felix threw his no hitter. That @%^T$@ is worth some cash agreed this would be worth money cause if they had the ticket stub plus ball signed it would be worth a couple hundred. You wouldn't get that kind of money from a collector since there was at least 12 foul balls that game by the Rays, all those balls in the stands kind of dilutes the market. Let's just suppose Chuck's family catches a game used ball during the no hitter and has it signed no less. The claim that other foul balls would dilute the market is ludicrous. They would have a signed ball plus ticket stub on a somewhat historic night. Also, I agree with Redhook on this point, being in the Seattle area would up any Mariner memorabilia. Well seeing how Chucks's ball isn't signed, I guess we can just make anything up to increase the value and help your argument. As stated before a similar ball fetched like $800 without a CA, so it is obvious people in the business know a little more about this kind of stuff than you.

Just for a little perspective a autographed ball from Derek Lowe's no hitter in 2002 is selling for $35, it has a CA.

Would you buy an autographed ball without a CA? Thought so. If you would then you are really dumb.

yeah the area means everything... but not always the case with vintage stuff.. new stuff most deffinately, theres probably someone in this state that would pay a ridiculous amount for a ball like that... but, multiple balls does dilute the market, ONLY if they are all on the market... there are currently no Hernandez no hitter balls on the market that im aware of, so, in that case, it could still be bad, the ball could sell for 100 bucks and that would be what the market would base further balls of that kind off of.... if it sells for 10k however, the market would explode after that price and the balls would skyrocket... then, crash down to earth...
thats the thing with vintage stuff, it never loses value... if a new player say like Pujols or Hernandez screws off the rest of their career, goes broke, ect, their cards will plummet, and so will all other sports peices... thats not the case with Cobb, Ruth, Mantle, Williams, Snider, Page, Killebrew, ect ect ect... they are all dead... their cards and mems will remain at the same price untill the market allows them to go up, especially if graded...
the problem is, ebay.. ebay dictates the market, because thats where the market is at... Beckett and other sports publications and price guides are basically wastes of money... more of a starting point, but you can easily go on ebay, and check completed listings and see what has sold, and for how much... 90 percent of card shop owners do this, which goes right back to what Chuck said
somethings only worth what someone is willing to pay for it...

There was a baseball like this on pawn stars that they bought for $800 the other day. Signatures were in similiar condition and there was no certificate of authenticity, they did have an expert do a sig compare and she said it was legit. The fact that an expert compared a signature is a form of authenticating the ball. But I guess you missed that gvbest.

Actually I didn't miss it because most CA actually certify that the autographs are authentic but when a expert looks at the signatures without a CA (you know some form of document signed at the same time as the autograph), it is the experts best opinion. Which is exactly what someone would do for RH's ball prior to paying good money, so your original statement about being worthless with no CA is ignorant at best.

I would guess in your opinion but since you do not set the value for baseballs or any other thing unless you are actually the one purchasing it, I guess that would make your opinion useless.

Anyways, Nate if you do actually have a Babe Ruth signed ball, buy a clear case for it if you haven't already done that. That will be worth a couple grand. With a CA . Inb4 gvbest argues what it is worth.
