With the State changing Marriage certificates I had a thought. Why change the traditional one? Why not just add a couple.

You could label the current one Hetrosexual. Leave Bride and Groom. Even some perverts might prefer use that one.

You could have another labeled Homosexual. You could leave the spaces for Bride and Groom blank , so that the perverts could fill those spaces in with anything they like.

Might need another labeled Other.

I think they should put spots on there for "Dumbass" and "Dipshit", too.

I guess I don't agree with gay marriage (probably a bigoted point of view but at least I am honest) but I also understand that it doesn't affect/change anything in my marriage or life. I voted in support of it, because by saying no I would possibly be preventing others from being happy and even though I don't agree with it, the actions that cause their happiness has no direct influence on my life.

I have been married for 21 years and haven't seen my marriage license since a week after I said "I do", so I don't see the wording as all that important.

I've thought it through, but I didn't write it clearly. Civil rights is an issue. Coming up with the energy to oppose the civil rights of another seems like it should be a non-issue to me. It takes energy to hate. It takes energy to want to deny another their civil rights. It takes energy to even think that another person is entitled to lesser rights than oneself. Call me an energy conservationist, but I don't have the energy to hate or limiting the rights of others to less than what I afford myself.

It should be a non-issue because all should have basic civil rights. It's only an issue because some, including members here of the dark side, are willing to expend energy energy denying basic rights to certain segments of society.

I'm not homosexual, and I've gotten married - twice. I don't care that WA changed the labels on marriage certificates from bride and groom to spouse A and B to be inclusive of gays. In a world of big deals, this isn't even a little deal. It's no deal at all. Don't sweat the small stuff. BTW, most things are small stuff.

I disagree that the homosexual lifestyle is being forced on us. Especially as it might be in the form of prison sex. So I there I was, it 12:01 AM, I had been in a deep sleep, and was awakened by? I raised my head and as my mind cleared and my senses were becoming restored, I heard a grinding, scraping sound. The sound came from below me. I still did not understand, so I arose and I looked out of my bedroom window to see that the foundation blocks from under my home being removed, one and then then another. There was a large group of people doing the work, more than twice the number of my family members that were in my home. I did not know what to do, so I watched, thought, and strategized, I formulated a plan, but by the time I rose my family, my home was already about to topple.
