Well back on topic. I personally don't care if gays can marry or not. It does not diminsh my marriage and I could care less. But in the interest of full disclosure I didn't vote for the measure. Not because I don't want them to be afforded the ability to marry but I don't trust that those that refuse to perform gay marriages won't be sued. Slippery slope and all.

First, all they wanted was to be able to adopt. They can.

Then they wanted to be afforded domestic partnerships and the benefit packages. They got it.

Now they want marriage since domestic partnerships are no longer good enough. They got that too.

Next I fear they'll require at least one homosexual marriage before a man and women can marry. In the interest of fairness and diversity and all...

It is an issue for those who are not homosexuals and are intending to get married. One is the Bride and the other the Groom. They are not "Spouse A" and "Spouse B". The State has now decided that that is so and is leaving those terms in the marriage certificate. That was decided after much public input. That was my issue at the very beginning of this thread.

I agree that it is unfortuate that so many here just instantly go to personal attacks on anyone they seem to disagree with.

There are those of us who feel that the homosexual way of life is being forced on us, much like prison sex would be on a new convict. It is uncomfortable, to say the least.

And what is this dark secret you refer to? Being a homosexual? Do even you have a problem with that?

Haggling about the color of the sky would be more interesting.

It looks blue to me.

I'd like to have an arguement ...

GutZ,

I'm not homosexual, and I've gotten married - twice. I don't care that WA changed the labels on marriage certificates from bride and groom to spouse A and B to be inclusive of gays. In a world of big deals, this isn't even a little deal. It's no deal at all. Don't sweat the small stuff. BTW, most things are small stuff.

I disagree that the homosexual lifestyle is being forced on us. Especially as it might be in the form of prison sex. From what I read, in prison if Bubba is 3 times bigger than you he might choose you to be his b!tch, and you won't have much recourse. There are gays all around this town, and none ever hit on me. So I don't feel like anything is being forced on me. You might be a lot cuter than I, and have something to worry about.

I don't know about you, but boy do I feel better.

I'm so glad we had this time together..... (everybody sing)
Just to squawk and bitch about the queers.
I'm thinking we should do it much more often
And when we're done we all could pull our ears.

Thanks, Carol.

SG;
I've nothing to worry about there either, lol. I am glad to hear you are not HS. I did not mean to insinuate that you were.

Do you refer to your wife as Spouse B as She is your second wife? wink

Have a Nice Day

The End?

gay marriage = prison rape ?????????

i too would be opposed to gay marriage if i actually had to marry someone of the same sex... but i don't so i don't give a rip.

you really should take a breath and actually think about the real impacts two people of the same sex getting married has on your life. my guess is that if you answer honestly, the answer is that there is no impact.

it seems you spend more time posting about gay sex than gay men spend even thinking about it.

Wow, I heard on the radio over 340 marriage licenses sold in King County the first day. 33 here in Thurston, of which 30 were same sex.

So I there I was, it 12:01 AM, I had been in a deep sleep, and was awakened by? I raised my head and as my mind cleared and my senses were becoming restored, I heard a grinding, scraping sound. The sound came from below me. I still did not understand, so I arose and I looked out of my bedroom window to see that the foundation blocks from under my home being removed, one and then then another. There was a large group of people doing the work, more than twice the number of my family members that were in my home. I did not know what to do, so I watched, thought, and strategized, I formulated a plan, but by the time I rose my family, my home was already about to topple.

Well congrats to the female couple that are finally getting their wish after 35 years together......

Hopefully they'll have what it takes to make a marriage work.
