just wondering if anyone can tell me the whole story behind this program. how many fish do they obtain this way? who besides wdfg is involved? I stumbled upon a large fish on a tether a few weeks ago. I had no idea until I went to pick up the pink corky and the water "blew up" in front of me. what is the sucess rate of this program, and how often are the fish collected? it doesn't seem right that one could last too long tethered up like that. thanks for the info...quit wishin---go fishin!

Those fish are tethered for the snyder creek hatchery on the upper soleduc. Most of the west end guides tether as well as some of the local fishermen. Fish are usually picked up the same day or the next morning. Some do come untied...... Bob had one come loose this year. Friends have lost them coming down stream also. Not sure about the return sucess (quality of fish and numbers). The hatchery is trying to increase the number of early native fish that return to the solduc. Nets and pressure have really hit them hard.
