so I have really tried very hard to not be on here...just cause I want to fish very badly... im not sure all of you know this but we took on the task last year of tearing down our old rv carport and house...it was a lot and im not kidding a lot of work...if someone wants to tell us we do not have sweat equity into this house they can go to hell...anyway...now that it is almost finished and we had to fire our contractor a lot of headaches are going away and I can finally post some pics...we didn't want to post pics during the process due to theft and all that...im sure its no secret where we live...some of you have been here for the garage sales...its been a 5 year process...anyway...thought I would post some pics

so really I know how screwed up my contractor is and was and I really would say to never hire him again but...here is my house and all the work we did ourselves...

to continue ...we tore down the rv carport..tore down the house and now started on the house...due to the county...they would not let us build the shop and the house at the same time unless we paid them another 15K to do it at the same time...so building the house and then the shop and doing a 5K infiltration system was their choice...gotta protect ourselves from ourselves you know...anyway...here are pics of the house build

getting ready for concrete...cabinets...granite and all the little finishes




these are my cabinets at the wrong height...there was a light in the way so the cabinet guys decided to put them 4 inches from the celing...not ok with me...the lights had to be moved and the cabs went up...if that was the only thing that went wrong this would have been a great build and we would not have fired our builder...he sucks ass and is way too slow

























my island....now before you guys go saying...why do you need two dishwashers...its because I hope to be busy fishing and don't want to have to put dishes away...hahahha...two dishwashers were my dream...I hate dishes and I like that I can just do a top load or a bottom load or both...I don't want to do dishes dammit!



and yes...after 19 emails back and fourth with my contractor about my sink and it being only one tub they cut my granite and put in a two tub sink...19 emails about one tub and how fish don't lay in a two tub sink like a one tub they cut my granite....a 8 ft by 5 ft slab had to be recut and replaced cause they put in the WRONG SINK...the night before this happened was when we decided we had to fire our builder



















that's about where we are at...they just grouted 625 square feet of tile out of 1500...this is a two bedroom two bath house with a custom tile 6 by 3.5 foot shower (I call it my three person shower) we just need carpet..mirrors...the custom glass door for the shower with two hinges and a handle...we are the painters....and yes my concrete is colored to match the roof...it will be that dark grey color...all the headache from the contractor and tony and I are still married after building this house for almost a year..

we are running out of time for the shop to be built for our loan...getting bids from other contractors now to build the shop...this builder will not get our easy money from the shop...full disclosure on our builders name and who not to hire if you pm my but for legal reasons im not going to post that just yet...but think twice about you builder and talk to tony if you ever have any questions he can tell you everything to not do over some bottomless fries at Red Robin...that's all he cares about hahahhaha....anyway...its almost done and that means we can fish again...

oh yeah which also means...im going to be out of the 5th wheel in a couple weeks...we thought we were gonna keep her and buy a lot in forks but I think I am done with her...but then again I know she was a good 5th wheel hahahha

hahahah....yes...I may just have coolers again soon...since I had shoulder surgery almost 4 years ago I lost my route that I fished at lunch and have had to work in Tacoma for the last at least 3 years...I just signed a contract to be back in that area and I actually delivered coolers to my old del place on sat...I might just have to get some coolers again to help pay for that house hahahaha


Nate...all the work we did it was too much for us to try to take the scrap to the recycle place...I took a load when we did the rv carport and only had 520 lbs...we just barely got 50 bucks...you need a minimum and by the time we would pay for gas it was not worth it...

we had couple come here and get all the metal...they separated it and made some money...good for them it went to some fun people to watch...they stop by now and then to see the progress...all the wood the neighborhood got...the windows went down the street...we recycled everything we could and people had almost a month to get everything they needed...our old heater went to a guy with no heat in his house...our kitchen cabinet doors went to a couple that never had doors on their cabinets...it was nice to know that for the most part except the floor and roof most got recycled...pretty cool...although we did make 32 loads to the dump and one special trip with asbestos that we had to tear out...funny how you can go to home depot these days and still buy material with asbestos in it if its from China...strange how that works...

it was sad to see it all come down...but now as we are towards the end it feels good...not good with our builder but good....we were supposed to be in the house in May, before our salt water fishing started...we have not been in the salt this year yet...but im hoping we will by August...keep your fingers crossed for us we can get this house final

by the looks of your old digs... i'd say yoalls lived in west Virginia hillbillyville.... don't take offense to that okay.
