Were can i have one repaired?Close to Olympia.The level wind dont move back and forth when i free spool.

Balcombs rod and reel repair in montesano has always treated me well. Fair prices and he has dropped everything to do emergency repairs for me before.

I HAVE 2 CALCUTTA 251 REELS THEY ARE DESIGNED THAT WAY AND I THINK IT IS EASIER TO PULL OUT BACKLASH'S THAT WAY AND I ALSO HAVE CALCUTTA 400.THE LEVEL WIND DOES MOVE WHEN I FREESPOOL.BEST REELS ON MARKET.GOOD LUCK.

actaully many Shimano reels are made this way. the least amount of moving parts make a reel smoother to cast since there is less friction.

As far as factory authorized repair places, last time I really checked, the only one in Washington was John's Sporting Goods in Everett. That was a couple of years ago. As resident of south sound too,I take mine to the Antique angler in sumner,I also use a calcutta one of the originals ( first year in production)the level wind does not move,as for Balcombs, took mine there a few years back in a emergency BIG MISTAKE!!! had to take it to another place ,he didn't fix my problem and I ended up with a different problem so go to sumner its closer than Everett E-mail me for directions ...
