Here's a couple little ones that ate some worms wink

That's a six inch worm sitting on that one's gill plate:

This one's from BC, proving that big summer runs don't eat pink worms, either wink

Fish on...

1st winter run, caught on a PW, on my home river. Took the picture just to remind myself that all the talk about PW...PW's, really do work, just have to believe that they will "get the job done.

Wish you well, on the addition to your other products...

Enter me ..... Thanks

How about a worm caught springer?? Had already c n r'd 3 springers that morning so put on a purple worm thinking it would avoid the springers and maybe find a steelhead... wrong.

No pics, back in the 70's I bought some plain jane pink worms from the sports shop in Bellevue after reading in Salmon, Trout, and Steelheader about pink worm fishing in Canada. Was on the Cowlitz at Blue Creek, waited until noon so most fishermen would leave for lunch, then made cracks about fishing for bass since I did not want people to think I was stupid. The summer runs were in and stacked but had a super case of close mouth and very few caught. I was hooking a fish on almost every cast, kept loosing them until I figured out how to hook up the worms......long story short I could easy have sold all my worms for $5 or $10 bucks apiece since no one else had any. The sports shop was out of pink worms the next time I went to buy some.

Reminds back in the Vision Hooks days when Superfly would just hand me worms in every color of the rainbow. All of them worked.

Put any 6" worm in front of a wild fish and it will chomp on it!

in 3 years of using wfo worms, "clear water orange" has hit 1 buck EVER for me. it has hooked many many hens, so many that i REFUSE to believe it is coincidence. it is the only worm i have come across with such results, every other brand or color of worm i have used hasnt had those kind of results.

No photographic worm evidence in this one but probably one of my more badass worm fish. I don't remember my hat EVER looking that clean.

Here is one with the proof still sticking out of his mouth. Not a big fish but it is from one of my favorite days fishing with Coley. I like the look of the substrate too.

I love pink worms, has literally caught a fish for me in just about every river I have caught a steelhead in and nice thing is that they work in all conditions, even low and clear fish don't mind. wish I had some pics to show, maybe later lets just say I don't leave home with a pack or 2 of them especially if I am heading to the OP.

Makes you wonder if the aggressive bucks are keying in on the pink color, while the more subdued hens are hitting the more subtle orange color.

Me thinks one should run a pink and orange worm and keep a tally of bucks/hens caught. Use the same brand of worm.

Do it, Phi! Let us know at the end of the season. Would be cool to see the results!

in 3 years of bobber dogging worms running 1 rod with pink and 1 rod with either op nightmare or clear water orange... i have gotten 3 fish in 3 years by making a 2nd pass through the exact same line that didnt yield a fish the first pass and all 3 were hens and all 3 were on clear water orange worm after either nightmare or pink.

and i have gotten 1 buck on clear water orange to about ~20 hens.

38.5" hen on cw orange after tbird and i beat up the hole with nightmare and steelgum (bubblegum)... first cast with cw orange
there was some big fish that were in a couple mile stretch that day

earlier that day

later that same day
