Just felt compelled to put this story in writing for the anals of history.
Well tonight we had our first fall ball little league baseball practice. and I am coach.
I am not familiar with these kids as I am a coach for my daughters fast pitch team. We have a typical scattered level of talent amongst these 10 and 11 yr olds. After 10 minutes of practice a mother delivers her chubby little black kid. She states "this is his first practice" "he has never played baseball before." I kindly advise it is no big deal and "we'll coach em up" and "have a good time."
I recognize this young boy from my daughter's elementary school where I have volunteered at recess, usually playing whiffle ball with a little adult organization.
It seemed to me a great place to recruit kids into little league. Well this kid arrived to prove my theory correct.
I am a fan of Pete Carroll and his mantra "always compete." After about 45 minutes of skills throwing and catching I introduce a contest of cathing fly balls after being led out to a pass...much like a receiver. if you dropped the ball or it hit the ground. You are out!
Well this little guy showed just how athletic he can be while basket catching balls at 45 yards out. He won the contest with 10 other decently skilled kids that had played baseball or softball previously.
In fact it was an amazing feat for a kid that had never played ball.
Nearby a team of youths were playing football and it sure was good to say..."aren't you happy you aint playin football"
There was a resounding ..."yes"
Baseball is still America's game!

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

any kid who says that they would rather play baseball over football is a pussy or gay.
been to enough HS football games/baseball games it's obvious to everyone that football is a major attraction!
every kid wants to play under the Friday night lights and hear the roar of the crowd. never heard a roar at a baseball game!
football is the true Americas game! Agree with brewer.

football is the true Americas game! Brewer knows this because he played baseball in high school, before he dropped out.

Football is America's game...baseball is for homos and tards. step in the box and just look at an 88mph fastball, let alone try and hit it Sol Duc.

If American football players were tough they'd play Aussie Rules or Rugby.

Football is America's game...baseball is for homos and tards. Sure it is, when you throw like a girl. The cool kids take the mound, or even better, step up and walk on the mat. the biggest pussies spend all day staring at football homos or citing their stupid stats on the internet ... carry on...... Your average bat is taller than Charlie. lol
