Seattle has some of the wealthiest people in the world and they of course steer the course of its future a lot more than the retarded poor that inhabit the Dark Side.

You mention they wanted the tunnel yet bitch about the traffic. Who are they? Citizens of Seattle or CEO's of corporations who may or may not live in Seattle that are concerned how traffic may effect their businesses.

I spend a good portion of every week in downtown Seattle. I can assure you there are more millionaires driving over 520 and I-90 into Seattle each morning then there are driving in on the viaduct.

I drive north on the Viaduct every work day and surprised to hear that I might be a millionaire.

The tunnel project was rammed thru by developers and the business leaders and their corrupt politicians. The commuter could care less if it's a surface street or tunnel just as long as they can get to their destination without destroying their vehicle in potholes. Which, of course they can't!
